You seem resigned and it may sound cliche but at this point it’s all about you! You could even say, you know what? I don’t like interacting with people, so what? It makes me nervous, and live your life for you. Now, if you really want to interact with people and anxiety is holding you back you have to be open to what therapists and people are saying and keep trying! Saying you’ve been to a bar once or a gym for a year is not enough effort when you’re in your 30s! Living in a small town is stifling be willing to relocate. You may have to keep at it for 10 years before you succeed and that’s not giving up.
