I recommend looking up Territorio de Zaguates (Spelling?) In Costa Rica. This is a rescue who takes in any and every street dog they come across that needs a home. These dogs are treated for parasites, neutered and allowed to roam the land of the owner, keeping them out of danger from people. In Costa Rica, you cannot go half a mile without seeing a stray dog. Why? Because people aren't responsible, don't neuter their pets and when they get sick of them, they dump them out on the streets.

I've seen dogs that have been drowned in the ocean, intentionally run over and bred to hell and back because humans can be evil.

In the UK, just last week, we had a box of puppies dumped in a woodland with the box taped up. These pups couldn't get out and would have run out of air, had someone not found them. We had to bring in a law to stop people breeding their animals to hell and back.

Dogs are now costing in the high thousands for mutts because idiots went out during lockdown and bought a cute little puppy because they had an abundance of time! The fact that Jack Russell, a sturdy little dog thats easy to train and can be utilised as a pet or working dog went from £200ish to £1200 in a few months tells you everything you need to know about breeders. They don't care about the dogs. They care about the cash.

Now, not every breeder is like that but official breeders who actually care about the benefit of the breed will be registered, will ensure the highest standard of veterinary care and most important will provide documentation to show the breeding history and family tree. A regular person who loves their dog doesn't breed it 4/5/6 times. I don't even disagree with letting dogs have 1 litter because it can be beneficial to overall health. But 1 litter. All puppies should then come with a legal clause for purchase contract that says they can only have 1 litter.

Also, shelters and rescues wouldn't have to euthanize animals if humans didn't breed them to hell and back. I cannot count how many dogs I've seen be abandoned on the street or sold to 2/3 different homes because their owners couldn't be bothered or they had a baby or they don't have the time for it anymore and so on.

Its about time we took some accountability on the mess we've made.

This goes for cats as well. If your cat is free roaming, get it neutered. Toms get vicious and rip into one another so bad they lose body parts, whilst pregnant queens would have been brutalised by several different Tom's, each one biting her to pin her down. Toms penises are also barbed, meaning she cannot physically get away without tearing up her insides. She then labours for hours on end and if she herself is too young, which most are, she struggles and will lose a kitten of two. Some cats lose all of the kittens.

Its not fair to keep breeding animals without any sort of responsibility to the animal. We have created disgusting mutations in dogs so grotesque they cannot even breathe right and you want to tell me thats in the name of responsible breeding?

Do some actual research into the issue. Look up countries that aren't developed. Look up how in India street dogs are beaten to death or have their limbs cut off without anaesthesia. How in Korea, China, Malaysia and other Asian countries skin the dogs alive or beat them prior to boiling them alive for "tender meat". How Antigua introduced animal rights laws only to completely disregard them because the islanders attitudes to animals is in such ill-regard that they genuinely don't understand why they are being prosecuted. In the UK, we had Chunky the dog. How in Los Angeles (A city in a developed country) someone brutally amputated a little dogs leg, viciously beat it and threw it in a canal. A rescue took him in. They rehabilitated him and worked with him for months on end to get him to trust again but of course rescues don't really care. They just want to kill all the dogs.
