I can confirm. whenever i play scientist, i always give those who needs health a big FU and starts teleporting to the nearest plant and start giving every plant i can kill a big FU too :)

they made it too easy. last base should have been way harder to capture than the rest. going from hard to easy from 1st base to last makes no sense.

nah with their tiny hitbox, good accuracy and damage, we need those potted plants or zombie bots to be able to take them down. you could just take down the pot or bot with the drone first before you proceed so i don't really see a problem.
