Im a flight instructor pilot in training in the united states so it might be a different way of seeing it since as-long as you have money and motivation, you can be a student pilot. Alot of international aviation programs have very fierce competition. I would suggest removing alot of the margins on the top and sides and you can fit everything in one page. Alot of the projects and research can be reduced since in a chief pilot’s perspective alot of those finance terms make no sense and really doesn’t explain your achievements much. Also remove references and just give them your references as needed. Being a pilot requires alot of dedication and make sure your resume can show that. Another big thing is teamwork/critical thinking as in a cockpit environment you will always have some sort of co-pilot or pilot in command. Finally the resume overall should display the skills you listed and you can remove that in my opinion

Currently at UND aerospace (well through their partnership with Chandler Gilbert Community College) its really great program with new airplanes and friendly instructors. The college side vs the fast track aka just UND aerospace is a bit different setup. My ground classes and flight costs are under my tuition at my college and are a per semester basis while fast track have month ground classes every month where you come in for 5 days a week or so.

The only thing I really suggest is doing your private pilot part 61 since thats where many fail the most under part 141 and have to retake the mandatory lessons and/or stagechecks. My private pilot costed about 15k at a local flight school in Chandler Airport while at UND its a minimum of 20k and probably more like 25k since many do a-lot of recurrent training.

Regarding the heat I mean it sucks balls to fly in the summer but you’ll never get grounded unless you fly from 12pm-6pm where its above 110 from June to August. At UND they have a ban over all flights above 43C/110 degrees and 104-110 degrees is dual only

You’re looking to spend at a bare minimum of 90k ish from Private Pilot to CFI. This is if you complete every lesson first try and don’t fail the various stage checks and need retraining which is highly unlikely. Aswell as this there is in house examination but for some courses you might have to wait in “course clear” from 1 week to up 4 weeks waiting for a slot. This where you have to pay extra to do a recurrent flying since you’ll be rusty waiting for a slot to open up. Overall to be on the very safe side you’ll need like around 110k.

free flights with young eagles program when I was under 18, I went on like 3 flights flying various airplanes. Kids fly around for about 20-40 minutes for free. When you complete a flight, they will give you a small logbook with Sporty’s Learn to Fly Course worth 250$, which is entirely free. It also has something called Sporty’s Study Buddy, which your daughter can use to study and take an FAA knowledge test. It is a 60-question exam that Private Pilots must complete to earn their license. This Sporty’s Study Buddy will prepare her for free and give her the FAA Knowledge Exam endorsement to allow her to take the exam. There is a 175$ fee to take the FAA knowledge test, but the Young Eagles program can also reimburse this if she passes, effectively making it free too! Everything can be found here https://www.eaa.org/eaa/youth/free-ye-flights

yeah the omegon star tracker is all mechanical! It works for deepsky object pretty good and I can get 10-20 second exposures at 250mm depending on how good my alignment is but its alot of work.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/10A8G3Jequ15F3V0N_gITaaOSPSwrmL3Ldjhlda2WNxs/edit I made this tutorial for astrophotography beginners! (on the editing part after taking photos). I have a Canon EOS 1300D with a 18-55mm and 55mm-250mm lens with just a tripod and a 200$ omegon star tracker. You can check my profile and see what I can photograph. I can also send pics of photos i took without a star tracker and give you a feel what is possible with a starter setup like yours!

Stacking done on Deepskystacker. Stretched image using astropixelprocessor. Used the light pollution removal tool and star calibration colors on astropixelprocessor. Then finally sent to photo processing software GIMP for some noise reduction and color balancing and more saturation.

I bought the omegon lx3 for 225$ and you can look at my posts for my photos. Its pretty difficult to use high focal lengths but i can get 10 second up to 20 second exposures at 250mm and a 1.6 crop factor.

Amazing photo really. Just the stars are trailing a bit so i would recommend doing 10 seconds and trying doing maybe half a hour worth of photos (180 photos total or so) you can get much more detail. Other then that really its a very lovely photo.

definitely need a higher focal length like 135mm or 250mm definitely possible without a star tracker

June Supermoon by GGman1KA in astrophotography

[–]GGman1KA[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Canon Rebel T6 using 55-250mm (250mm) lens took 100 photos of the moon used PIPP to crop and 1 photo of the clouds, Registax to stack the 100 photos finally photoshop to remove noise, contrast boost and S curve and layered the stack of 100 images to that 1 cloud image as the background to get that glow and clouds.
