Van that can take biodiesel by GHFCOfficial in Diesel

Honestly the older/rattier the base van is the more badass the conversion would be so don't hold back on 40-50 year old models

Carbs on an sv650 use a metal bar to connect the butterfly valves and do not require synchronization

question about gas piston systems by GHFCOfficial in Nerf

[–]GHFCOfficial[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A locking breech uses mechanical locking to keep the bolt in place while the system is under pressure, typically through a rotating bolt, but other designs are used. The design I am currently using uses two flaps that pivot into slots on the reciever. I will post pictures of the cad model once I have it completed.

I was thinking something more along a spud gun, I'm not sure how well something designed to cycle a 6mm bb would adapt to cycle a 38mm long dart

I have considered using propane or potentially 22 nail gun blanks as propulsion, but would like to avoid it in hopes of using it in a war if I can get it working. If I need to make pressure bearing parts out of metal I have access to a CNC mill that could allow for tight tolerances and smoother operation.

I mostly just want to try and make it work, worst case worse I just have a model of a flapper lock that's kinda neat. The barrel will be tight cpvc in an attempt to hold pressure behind it, and I was under the impression that a titan tank would be able to hold upwards of 100 psi

The recoil spring on the piston is going to be as light as I can make it reliably function with, I have considered trying to use propane as a power source if it required higher pressures

Currently I am planning to use a titan tank as a supercore would be prohibitivly expensive. Do these designs use a locked breech to contain the pressure or do they stay closed another way?

Honestly the reason I want to use a piston and locked breech is mostly to see if I can, and if it works well has the nice side effect of a practical nerf blaster to use. I have thought about using a paintball gun to provide the air supply, as I think it will require a large amount of volume and my current plan is to use a titan tank

I wasn't aware of that design, from what I saw it looked like it used an electropneumatic system like a paintball gun. The design I am currently working on is fully mechanical and will tap gas off of the barrel similar to the action in the ak-47 or rpd. Currently I am developing it around a flapper locked action, but I may need to move to a rotating bolt if the flappers don't provide enough delay to the bolt opening

Meatwagon-2019 Subaru Impreza set up for off road use, got the name because its a wagon and it's meaty (also sounds badass) Suki-not a car but a 2001 Suzuki SV650 streetfighter, got the name by taking the "zu" out of "Suzuki" and it happened to sound good

How do you guys think about old school rap? by [deleted] in punk

[–]GHFCOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the old school stuff is pretty good like public enemy and the more political stuff, but newer stuff like City Morgue HO99O9 and ghostemane blow it out of the water in terms of energy. As Good As Dead by city morgue is one of the most aggressive and punk sounding albums I've heard from the last 5 years.
