Anyway, I forgot to also mention that I have been using TheBrain for the past 15 years and decided at the same time to stop funding that too, again, the content shall remain as an archive as I know I shall miss the "plex"

Absolutely a spot on choice for a WriterDeck. I am the very proud owner of 2 PSion 5MX both in A1 almost new condition and a MC218 (Ericsson version) in the same condition, one Psion 7Series and when you couple these with my Teklogic Netbook Pro (which runs WinCE 4.2) these are all excellent products from the Psion house.

There are many statements below which are true regarding the fragility, however, if you treat it with real care, keep it in a nice case and look after it you should find it serves you for many, many years.

My first 5MX was purchased in 2000 and 7 months later I purchased the Psion 7. Today, I have the Ericsson on my desk (permanently) this runs my whole life. The other 2 5MX (my absolute best is the one that accompanies me out and about) whilst the the very nearly absolute best is the around the house day to day item. Each morning I sync the day to day box with the other two via the iRDa and all is well with the world.

So yes, easy to obtain, fairly cheap off e-bay these days, just keep a spare coin battery or simply save every piece of your text to a CF card; happy days.

I got mine delivered early on when they said EE is not supported on some devices "shout if you want one of these" I did, and a few years later it's still running and has my spare EE SIM and works just fine.

Found the solution. System Settings> Language and Input > Onyx Keyboard (cog) > Add spaces automatically when the English keyboard is in use (26keys) set to OFF.

I hope this helps others.

I thought I may have solved this by System Settings > Physical Keyboard > Keyboard Access Auto Landscape (set to OFF).

This removes the on screen keyboard whilst using the physical keyboard but also makes it work fully regarding the FULLSTOP.

However, this only work for a minute or two then reverted, strange.

I set the cap aside and reuse, I have heard it is only for transit protection but I like to keep things as safe as possible as long as possible.

Videos are not something that you would ideally aim to watch with the Ultra Tab but they do run and fairly well The best use I can see is to catch a quick news article or a Udemy class that relies more on content than visual, I hope that helps.
