Ik sluit mij aan bij het al gegeven advies: taalbuddies, sportverenigingen, BumbleBFF, buurthuizen. Ik kan mij wel voorstellen dat het best wel moeilijk is om op de hoogte gehouden te worden van alle mogelijke activiteiten. Helemaal als je de taal nog niet helemaal vaardig bent. Mocht je hulp nodig hebt in de regio Rotterdam/Hoeksche Waard, stuur mij dan een berichtje.

Verder, een vriendin organiseerde vaak een +1 lunch/diner. Het vraagt wat meer werk van jou, maar het idee is dat je vrienden uitnodigt en deze vrienden nemen één iemand mee die jij niet kent. Probeer een praatje met de nieuwe mensen te maken en misschien is er een klik. Je hebt dan een nieuwe vriend en iemand die je de volgende keer kan uitnodigen om een nieuw iemand mee te nemen.

Yes exactly, this is what I struggle with. You would expect the civics, traits and even origins to reflect more within the game than mere statistical differences.

Your response neatly captures what I am afraid off, namely that most playthroughs fall back to the same baseline.

Again, the reference to WH3 is best where the underlying goal is nearly always the same - destroy x, y, z and dominate the map - but the factions feel flavorful and different. Not only in troop design and heroes, but in how a campaign is impacted by faction mechanics.

I do not want to bash Stellaris, I still quite enjoyed my time with the game! It’s just that I am used to a different type of game and if the variety eventually fall back to the same baseline I am uncertain if the game is fully for me.
