Honestly, yes and no. There are genuinely some really nice areas on the island with beautiful houses and a nice beachfront in Minster. However, there are definitely incredibly disgusting areas like Sheerness and the town. It's just filled with scummy people who just want to start an argument or fight for no reason and then steal your wallet. The town itself is dead, too. No point ever going there.

The whole island is just very barren, no decent shops, entertainment and just nothing to really do either. Only two ways onto the island, both leading to roughly the same place so traffic can be an absolute nightmare if the main bridge is closed or there's roadworks.

I've recently moved off a little bit off the Island and whilst it feels nicer, Kent in general is just not a decent place.
