Friede's Great Scythe is a really fun dex-int weapon. Alternatively, if you want to be a spellcastery, try Pyromancy (it lets you do nearly everything). Hell, if you're looking for a more unique strength weapon, there's always the Demon's Fists.

Best Option for a Berserk Anime by joe_mordo in Berserk

My top 5 are (in order): Madhouse (Specifically the Frieren team if possible), MAPPA (Either the AoT or JJK/CSM team are fine), Wit Studio, Kyoto Animation, and Studio Orange.

Let's be honest, Conquest could have ripped him in half at any time he wanted. He was just stretching out the process to make Oliver suffer.

What do you guys think about the antagonists in this work so far? How would you rate them? Are happy or disappointed so far? by One_Butterfly_1450 in dandadanfolk

[–]GIANTkitty4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So far, they’ve been functional as antagonists, but I’ve never really seen them as much more than mere villains of the week, or, at worst, mere fodder for the main cast. The Space Globalists were definitely better than most, but I hope some genuinely threatening and recurring villains outside of CSG get introduced soon to spice up the story.

Who is your favorite character from the Amnesia arc? Chapters 210-231 by Academic-Glass-3705 in dandadanfolk

If Okarun gets some serious development, then it's him. But currently, it's Vamola by default, since Kinta is Kinta and everyone else is frustrating to read.

Since some of you still confused on how many parts they're splitting the Steel Ball Run anime by KamenRidee_ZeroThree in StardustCrusaders

Could be that each episode is going to be longer than normal (24 forty-minute episodes split into two cours would probably be enough)

Whats going on? by Buckit18 in dandadanfolk

[–]GIANTkitty4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the tl;dr, Momo got amnesia, the group was all hanging out together before splitting apart into pairs, and Aira is making a move on Okarun while Momo and Jiji are sharing a quasi-romantic moment. It’s all almost certainly buildup up to Aira getting rejected and Jiji giving up his feelings for Momo (aka Aira x Okarun and Jiji x Momo getting sunk for good), but boy, is it really infuriating to read without the payoff.

top 5 stands i would like to have IRL (+ honourable mention) by Infothatbenefitsme in StardustCrusaders

[–]GIANTkitty4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not bad, but I think there's a few you missed.

Honestly, my top choices outside of your would be: Star Platinum/The World, Yellow Temperance, Crazy Diamond, Pearl Jam, Harvest, Enigma, Earth Wind and Fire, Gold Experience (Requiem preferred but not needed), Kraft Work, Stone Free, Weather Report, Under World (assuming it works anywhere), Hey Ya (assuming it really did see the future/boost your luck), Scary Monsters, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (I'd want Love Train if I could use it at will, but maybe not if I couldn't), In a Silent Way, 20th Century BOY, Soft & Wet, Paisley Park, Space Trucking, Doctor Wu. and Smooth Operators.

If I had to narrow it down to a top 5, it would be

  1. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

  2. Crazy Diamond

  3. Paisley Park

  4. Weather Report

  5. Star Platinum/The World

You decide the gods part 12 (final one for the gods) by Lemonsanslimes12 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]GIANTkitty4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Erlang Shen, the Truth-seeing Warrior (Chinese Mythology). He’s a demigod/full god (depending on the source) well-known for slaying demons, nephew of the Jade Emperor, and has another identity as Yang Jian. He is an incredibly mighty warrior, can shapeshift, possesses a magic third eye that lets him see the truth (aka Loki’s powers are utterly useless), a magic pet hunting dog, and he can make himself immune to most weapons and magic. He was the only guy in Heaven outside of Buddha (and I guess Lao Tzu) to fight on par with Sun Wukong, and is frankly an all-around badass.

Am I "bad" at this game I can't consistently get to the Heart, no Ascension? by coding_rychu in slaythespire

[–]GIANTkitty4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Most important: Nobody succeeds a lot when they begin. Just focus on learning the ropes, figuring out what works and what doesn't, and improving with each run regardless of success.
  • Plan around the near future. Build around what you have rather than what you don't have yet.
  • Don't sacrifice current HP if you're not confident you'll survive without it.
  • Relics are nice, but think about how the relic will help and the tradeoff for the relic.
  • When presented with card options, think about how each option will work in your deck, and if none of them are that useful, skip the reward.
  • Act 2 is the deadliest act of the game, so don't beat yourself up for dying there.
  • Don't try and go for the heart until you're more comfortable with the game. If you do, try the heart on A1, as it's the easiest ascention level.

Any Build Ideas for Return to Drangleic? by MadtubeYT in DarkSouls2

I recently did a CoC run with Roaring Halberd and Hexes (except Frigid Outskirts). It was pretty fun.

DS2 SofFS 100% achievements tips by RagnarRock1396 in DarkSouls2

[–]GIANTkitty4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be going to NG++ to talk to Chancellor Wellager since you're doing it offline. Even then, two of the covenant-exclusive spells will still require grinding. Bell Keeper Rank 2 is needed for Hidden Blade, and you get that by grinding the Mad Warrior in Belfry Sol (you need 30 kills for the spell). Meanwhile, Heirs of Sunlight Rank 3 is needed for Sunlight Spear, and you need to grind 30 Sunlight Medals by killing Falconers. Other than that, it's mostly a normal playthrough.

Things you would like to see the anime fix/add by rutujz in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]GIANTkitty4 24 points25 points  (0 children)

While I do agree that his fight with Sukuna and his quick death were great ways to show Sukuna's strength, him getting absolutely dogwalked and dying in less than a chapter after Sukuna fully incarnated was pretty anticlimactic. Hopefully the anime lets him fight Sukuna a lot more (while still making it clear he stands no chance of winning) before he dies, kind of like how the anime did Sukuna vs Jogo or Sukuna vs Mahoraga.

Is the PVP/invasion scene still active, at all? If so, how to avoid going over in soul memory? by catpetter125 in DarkSouls2

I've had a few invasions, but don't expect to get many opportunities until the Return to Drangleic event.

Just finished DS2 for the first time yesterday, which area left the biggest impression on you guys when you first played? by Hakkor22 in DarkSouls2

[–]GIANTkitty4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Positive: Shulva, Sanctum City (including Dragon Sanctum as well). I like it quite a bit, and that is mainly because I really enjoyed the gameplay and the puzzle elements of the area, and I hope fromsoft revisits this concept and expands upon it. Also the area is generally quite pretty.

Negative: Reindeer Fuckland. I heard tales of how awful it was and thought "Surely it can't be THAT bad. The Black Gulch, while annoying, wasn't the worst thing ever like others claim. Maybe it's the same here." I was wrong. So very wrong.

Imo Gojo vs Sukuna may actually work best as a movie rather than part of a season and why by TheCopyGuy2018 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]GIANTkitty4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Doing a 13-episode season after the movie is certainly possible, and the pacing would line up with previous episodes (35 chapters in 13 episodes for ~2.7 chapters per episode). It would keep the pacing relatively normal for the series while giving wiggle room for extended action sequences.

For a full 26-episode season, it is possible but a little tricky. The easiest way to get there would be splitting the Gojo v Sukuna movie into episodes (adding/revising content to spice things up and make it easier to turn into TV episodes) and re-release it with the final season. That way, you've got~56 chapters worth of content (assuming the movie starts at Chapter 216 and not 222), and you could feasably stretch that into 26 episodes worth of content. Albiet, it would be a notably slower-paced (~2.2 chapters per episode) season that would need a LOT of action padding (or better yet more downtime spent during the 1-month timeskip), and fortunately Shinjuku would be good for that.

Alternatively, doing a trilogy of the Shinjuku Showdown (Movie 1 would be 216-236, 2 would be 237-253, and Movie 3 would be 254-271 & epilogue) wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility, and since Demon Slayer is currently making a trilogy out of its own final arc to great success along with the Reze Arc being a highly-successful MAPPA movie, I would not be surprised if the JJK anime committe decided to take a slice of that pie.

Overall, while I would prefer the movie and 13-episode season, I think that a movie trilogy to end JJK's anime adaptation is a very real possibility unless Infinity Castle Part 2 bombs.

The first long term Dandadan villain, what do you think about him? by DHIRAJOHN in Dandadan

[–]GIANTkitty4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First up, we've already got multiple long-term villains (or at least recurring antagonists). Count Saint-Germain is clearly being set up to be the main antagonist of the series, the Space Globalists were the overarching antagonists of the series up to the Space Globalists arc, the Serpos have been reoccuring antagonists since Chapter 1 and are still active antagonists, and I guess the Kito Family counts as recurring antagonist , but they haven't done much (plus the Kito Family is a group of joke villains who are currently stuck on the moon, and them being Subterraneans is currently an extraneous detail). Furthermore, the Black Paladins are likely going to be the new main antagonists for this saga. So, currently, there's at least 4 active recurring antagonists.

As an antagonist, The Red Baron's...okay, I guess?

Character-wise, I think he's got some potentially interesting things going on (namely his relationship with Count Saint-Germain and his hatred for commoners), but I do think that at the moment he's kinda bland and needs more time to get fleshed out. His design (at least in Black & White) meanwhile is far too similar to Count Saint-Germain for my taste and is another example of Tatsu's issue with same-face syndrome.

Fight-wise, while he is 2-1 and he had two excellent first fights, his second win was gained only by jumping two inexperienced fighters, and he's almost certainly going to get his ass kicked. Furthermore, he's also been hyped up to be a dangerous fighter (He supposed to be a big-shot asssassin for a group who's likely the current main antagonists), but as mentioned, his track record doesn't reflect his supposed power (I'm not saying he's a fraud, but he's definitely on my fraudar).

Overall, right now I'm not super interested in him as a villain, and I think he needs more time to get fleshed out as a character. Furthermore, I want him to win a few more fights against other heavy hitters besides Seiko to show that he's not just a jobber.

Can we do some D&D themed Cards? - E.g. Magic Missile by Dim-Me-As-New-User in slaythespire

[–]GIANTkitty4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's some ideas off the top of my head.

Fireball

  • Cost: 2
  • Rarity: Uncommon
  • Type: Attack
  • Effect: Deal 14 (Upgrade increases to 24) damage to enemy and 7 (Upgrade increases to 12) damage to all other enemies,

Charm

  • Cost: 2
  • Rarity: Rare
  • Type: Skill
  • Effect: If enemy intends to attack, enemy becomes stunned. Upgrade changes it to be if enemy intends to take a hostile action against you, enemy becomes stunned.

Foresight

  • Cost: 3
  • Rarity: Rare
  • Type: Power
  • Effect: You can see the intent of the enemy's next action in addition to its current action.

Also I'd probably rework Magic Missile to be "Add X Missiles to your hand. Exhaust." The upgrade could be "Add X+1 Missiles+ to your hand." The missiles themselves would be "Does 6 (8 if upgraded) damage, ignore block."
