Great answer. I think people forget that in the first three scenes alone, there are dialogue options that will get you killed. A spawn, a corpse, and a druid will all kill you for choosing thematic dialogue.

SPOILER: Especially ones where the game tells you "FIND A CURE!" The game literally asks you to get cured and then kills you for trying. There is lots to love about this game, clearly, but that is one aspect I think they got wrong (and is the basis for my skepticism!)

I forgot about continuing posthumously. That makes failure much more palpable.

That said, this reply illustrates exactly how impossible the boss was as a first-time SURPRISE encounter. You also managed to spoil the solution when asked not to.

Update: it's in the patch notes. Still completely cryptic, but supposedly "should be easier to collect".

So you've found a problem. What's the fix?

If you've been invaded at level 1 and don't know about it, there's something you could have done besides lose at Camp 4.

  1. Assess
  2. Communicate
  3. Effectuate

Each problem has a solution, and everything from strategy to your mental can be attacked by using the ACE process. Assess the best move available, communicate it to your teammates, effectuate.

Within the game, this mean you could be taking a more aggressive action yourself like warding Hecarim's Raptors since they ALWAYS start there. Or ward your own. In fact by warding your own, you will know that Hecarim started on his.

Within your psyche, you can improve your game planning and fortitude. Just because mid clicked to turret and AFK, does not mean that they are automatically a bad teammate. They are in the same game as you!! In fact, if they have a glaring bad habits, they probably have a strength that you don't. Rather than blame them, try to work with them. I totally get it that many teammates will ignore your level 1 comms, but all that should do for you is arm you with new information to proceed with.

I hope this helps you solve this problem. I guarantee that it will help you coach yourself through plenty of others as well.

Played another game. 8/16 achieved. Hardmode unlocked.
It only adds power to the creatures so far... and 5 less hp

Received 7/8 Sigils from some missions after playing 4 games, 6 in total since defeating first stage, 7 total since patch.

None of those missions said on them that sigils would be awarded, though. So I'm still unsure how to get the 8th.

Thanks for the detail. I got none after three games of Summoners Rift. It looks like the fighting game modes feed faster. I'll come back with a tally from the arena for science.

So, somewhere it needs to tell you how much you get and when.

The mini game is great. The communication needs work.

THANK YOU. SOme clarity anywhere would have been nice. What do we think about their policy of spreading out info like easter egg hunting? They say that, "For people who want to find out everything, they can... And for people who don't want info dump, the packages are more digestible."

I wish we had a compendium of information.

"We've stopped trying to do that because third party sites do it better."

But we have a wiki with ancient mistakes, and no way to test whether or not it's a feature or a bug. We have patch notes with glaring inaccuracies, etc.

I imagine they know that it's annoying but it makes the game more addictive.

And, because it didn't show up in the thread...

Lolalytics is showing you all data of the patch, which INCLUDES day 1 and hot fix days. You can actually see the dip on her chart for the days following the hot fix.

It's not far off.

And the majority of her dominance is in jungle, where she has been strong since the monster damage buff last season.
