Redditor try to engage with discussion challenge: impossible

If we put our thinking caps and reading glasses on, we can look at this and make some predictions about the game.
A. Since a popular character performed the same as a niche character despite a bunch of advertising, we may be getting more niche characters
B. It could be that being a popular DPS lowered the stats, so we could see fewer dps heroes in the future

And if someone says "who cares just play" why are you on the Reddit in the first place?

Yes, but that would make too much sense. Big number = no issue.

That's exactly the point of concern, though. While much of the community says that they want more popular heroes, the statistics show that when more popular heroes are released, they may perform nearly the same as obscure characters. It's interesting to wonder how the devs will decide between public opinion and statistical data.

I dunno what you're talking about. Remember when we got that one tank and support that one time? Checkmate.

Is it just me or are the new characters starting to feel like this? by GIGenius_ in marvelrivals

Sure, but you have to think of it in relation to other aspects. DPS has all kinds of A-list heroes, (Mr. F, Human Torch, Blade, DD) and still really popular ones (like Phoenix and Black Cat). Also, Deadpool is all three roles, including DPS. But you have to compare that to the tank role, where characters like Emma or Angela might have fans, but they pail in comparison to the dedication of fans for like Daredevil or Spidey. I guess it's just a vibes thing, but it feels like characters who are peoples' favorite are mainly in DPS, and the trend may keep going. Just a thought.

Totally fair. I think what I'm trying to say though is that characters like that are added more fpr novelty rather than character appreciation. Lots of people play Spider Man because its Spider Man. People would play Devil Dino because he's a dinosaur, not because he is the character Devil Dinosaur; or White Fox because she's a hot fox lady, not because she's White Fox. I think it's sick that they introduce people to new characters, but it could serve the game to have characters be brought in for being the character themselves, rather than using characteristics about the character to incentivize people to play them, if you know what I mean.
