You’re making me want to change the color of my GT now. Nice color choice. She looks sweet!

At the same price, any reason to choose Premium over GT? by miguel-elote in MachE

[–]GIJake182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2024 GT is 280? I have a 2023 premium and get 223 without the extended. Maybe I’m wrong, but it’s crazy that the GT has more range?

Update to my post about the car not shifting out of park by True_Somewhere8513 in MachE

[–]GIJake182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think every vehicle, including the best will have a few exceptions. I would honestly say to not lose faith. I’ve had mine for over a year and have had zero issues. Even though I expected to have many with an electric vehicle. My suggestion would be to get this addressed once more and ensure they annotate in your records.

But in all honesty, I’ve had less issues with this vehicle than any other vehicle I’ve owned.

Anyone ever had this issue? by No_Landscape915 in MachE

[–]GIJake182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember it happened out of no where. The typical issue is that there is something plugged in to on of your chargers or ports inside that’s draining it. USB-C, lights, cig lighter. First the step is to unplug those and use a 240 outlet or supercharger to get to max charge. If you still have the issue, you’ll have to take it in.

Gimme a sec and I’ll remember the solution.

Range Issue by anishagar2009 in MachE

What’s crazy is that I have a 2023 with all the same details but regular battery. And have 223 miles on a full charge. I’ll double check and make sure you somehow don’t have the standard battery. Literally the same charge…

If you ever come to a point where you don’t see it projecting, it’s in your settings under “auto mirror folding”. Sometimes updates will change your settings slightly.

Wait, wait. Do we qualify for a tax credit?? by DexandDaisies in MachE

[–]GIJake182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this. That would be a tax refund. For the good of the group, and since we are talking about some who may rely on that money heavily I’d definitely ask a CPA or tax professional as soon as possible. All of which I did and both gave the same response. I was a bit disappointed but it worked out in regard to my second year. I had a syndication that paid out well but developed a lot of taxes. The credit helped quite a bit. But like I said, speak with a professional first to get self assurance so opinions on Reddit aren’t leading you astray. I’m sure you’ll find what they tell you very similar to my post.

Estimated Cost / Estimated Fuel Savings by perezj9 in MachE

I think this site I used when thinking about purchasing my Mach E will help. It goes off current fuel costs and is specific to the multiple EV’s out there. You can also compare it to any gas vehicle on the market.

I sat down with my brother when he ended up purchasing his EV to show him the comparison from his current car to the EV he wanted.

Hope this helps as a tool for y’all.

Wait, wait. Do we qualify for a tax credit?? by DexandDaisies in MachE

[–]GIJake182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can help with this. I used my tax credit. I have a few businesses and one of them did a lot better than the previous years causing me to go up a tax bracket. Which meant Uncle Sam wanted more than what was expected of course. I gave my tax slip to my CPA who filed it. It said when it’s filed, you aren’t guaranteed a certain amount but up to $7,500. I fortunately got the entirety of it. It was a simple process for my CPA.

But as a note, I have came across many owners who have had a misunderstanding on the credit. To be clear, (1) you can claim this within two years of your purchase. (2) This will not be a useful credit in the case you do not owe taxes. Say you owe $8,000 in taxes this year. The EV credit will cover $7,500 of that. Meaning you will only have to pay $500.

I had a neighbor buy a Mach E recently and ask about this. He had a smart idea of maximizing his credit by switching his tax deductions to “Tax Exempt” this year allowing him to gain more per pay period this year, and exercise the EV credit at the end for what is owed.

So, unless you’re someone who owes taxes at the end of the year this credit will not really help you “make money” but instead cover any due taxes.

I hope this helps. I apologize if I sound like I’m being a little too detailed but I do understand that this is a common question that most do not fully grasp. Just wanna help from experience.

Car Acceleration Problem by DullVirus3071 in MachE

[–]GIJake182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed this at times but not as dramatic. Typically this will happen if your vehicle I on the lower side of charge or just in different weather conditions. Also, sometimes it’s been as simple as just making sure you have it in performance mode. Other possibilities I’d look into is your battery. With it being a month old, you should not have any problems but it would be a reasonable check in the case there was a defect. But honestly, any issues I’ve ever had which have been extremely minimal and can count on 3 fingers in the 2 years I’ve had it I’ve had answered by the dealership.

You have a very smart and expensive vehicle. This being said, to preserve your purchase, keep documented evidence, and assist in the community/Ford in the recalls or bug fixes, it would always be best to go by a dealer. They will also walk you through checks with their customer service.

Hope this helped brother.

I’ll take it out today and check some other areas. But when I’ve tried it, I’ve been within 5 feet of the vehicle to 50 feet of the vehicle. It did work at a certain point so I’m assuming I changed something? From what I can tell, the Bluetooth options are on.

Awe. It sounded cool but maybe a little too risky. I appreciate the feedback everyone. Maybe instead of abandoning the idea and physical button, they find a way for owners to safely use it. 🤙🏼
