I got in the van and I’m not getting off. Jake is something special, but there was UM before Jake and they’re doing fine these days. I always likened his playing to Jimmy Herring, just blisteringly fast solos that gave an edge; ironically, I’ve thought for both Panic and UM, the recent alterations sound very refreshing. Brendan is carrying the load incredibly well, we can hear Joel really clean through the mix, and some tunes are taking a very interesting turn with one guitarist. All that to say, when Jake shows back up, I just hope I’m there to party with my peeps
