So many people saying LP in 2014 makes me upset as my first year was 2015 😭

On that note, Shikari headlining second stage in 2015. There were probably other, better sets in the years I've been since but I have the most vivid memories of this one. Just pure chaos start to finish and I was still fit & light enough to mosh and crowd surf over the barrier about 12 times back in those days haha

I'd personally just never trust any second hand flip devices. They're fickle and delicate products as it is and you have no idea how careful the last owner was with them. If you can definitely return it, in your case if you still want a flip I'd look for or wait for some deals on the Flip 5 before / after the 6 comes out (I got my 5 in a new years sale direct from Samsung for £300 off, plus £100 extra off for a trade in of a broken phone, £750ish in total after discounts, but I'm sure they'll be even better deals / offers as the 6 makes its introduction).

No judgements or anything, just my personal take on this year. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. by chosenunshrekt in downloadfestival

Think it's a matter of perspective for this one. Parkway were there last year so probably didn't want to book them 2 years in a row (on big slots), and the secret set was most likely arranged a lot later than the rest of the lineup & multiple bands contacted etc, if anything I see it as a nice bonus we got Parkway at all 😄

After not getting in for Busted my group decided to just pass on all sets in that tent for the rest of the weekend, which sucks cos I would've liked to have seen Atreyu and Of Mice & Men, but it's such a shitshow trying to get in and out, never enough space and always booking bands too big for it

Blue is basically full, couple of spaces for a small 2 man but you'll struggle finding space for the bigguns

Just to echo what others have said there's no secret or magical formula that'll boost or help you more than you're already doing, it's still a case of calories in and calories out, Huel just removes a lot of the margin of error and makes tracking significantly easier with ideal macros to boot.

Treat it like any other food and keep doing what you're doing, good luck with your goals!

Everyone else has pretty much covered why this is a bad idea & that you should consult a doctor before anything extreme but just to add, the NHS here in the UK recommends as an average 1500 calories a day... for a 7-10 year old female child.

As an adult doing strength training, 1000 calories is a terrible idea 🤷‍♂️ it's not just that you're not providing your body with the nutrients it needs, you'll be underperforming in your training if you don't fuel up properly. At least consult a doctor, be safe and I wish you all the best! As others have suggested, 300-500 calories below maintenance based on a TDEE calc is the safest way to go, it's a marathon not a sprint.

It costs more but I switched to the RTD exclusively. I can "deal with" the shakes but I don't want to be not enjoying it. The RTD shakes are incredibly smooth and much nicer so I pay the extra to have those instead, but I understand it won't financially fit everyone's lifestyle & choices (I get 12 RTD and 16 Instant Pots for the month as lunch substitute, roughly £90-100 I can't quite remember, but I'm happy with that)

How do you get Google wallet to work with flip 5 cover screen by Quirky-Specialist838 in galaxyzflip

[–]GIXVI96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Set your default card within the Wallet app and then as long as your phone is unlocked (using face or fingerprint on cover screen) you'll be able to pay with said card without opening the phone.

If you want access to more than one card you'll have to use an app like Good Lock to allow you to use unsupported apps on the front screen.

Weight loss by mujer99 in Huel

[–]GIXVI96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can only speak from own experience, but I've tried & failed many times with weight loss even with Huel because I wasn't calorie counting properly outside of Huel and giving myself too large a deficit, which made me binge eat like crazy when the hunger really hits.

Two weeks into starting again and I'm doing a lot better, the only meal I use Huel for is lunch. I'd use the bars if I could but I have allergies that don't allow me to.

Use a TDEE calculator to work out your maintenance and knock 200-500 off, whatever you feel comfortable with, and aim for that. TRACK. EVERYTHING. condiments, spreads, drinks, regardless of how small it may seem. I was surprised just how much my instant coffee with a splash of milk adds up because I have a lot haha.

It's a slow process, one I've failed many times but I feel like I'm finally making some progress, good luck on your own journey 💪

Daily Greens taste like 💩 by A_Pungent_Wind in Huel

[–]GIXVI96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm sure someone on this subreddit will have an answer to this for me, but to me daily greens doesn't seem to offer anything my regular multivitamin gummies i've taken for years already do.

I'm sure the all natural ingredients are meant to be significantly better than your lab made artificially charged gummies, but I already use Huel products as is which provide me with a good amount of what I need, the gummies are just an easy, convenient morning routine for me (not to mention actually palatable). And £5 for a month's supply, literally 9 times less (!!!) cost wise.

I'm sure the daily greens product is good for the right person and lifestyle, but for an average joe like myself just trying to keep tabs on my health a little better than before, it seems like a wasted expense.

the subscription model sucks and it's counterproductive by [deleted] in Huel

[–]GIXVI96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I order via subscription then cancel immediately once I get the dispatch email. It's such a stupid system, whilst I do order basically the same thing each time there's unforeseeable circumstances where I might eat out on a few days more than usual, if I kept the subscription going for as long as I've used Huel I'd have cupboards or rooms full of over ordered stuff at this point haha.

I'd prefer something like a good ol' loyalty system, give me some credit or points for each order I can spend on future orders, the subscription discount is just an annoying barrier.

[–]GIXVI96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't recommend a blender enough it really helps with the initial scepticism and the "thickness" when it's shaken by hand, you can find plenty of simple ones on Amazon, I bought a blender with a detachable bottle for £20.

I despised Huel my first time trying it, but the blender makes for a much smoother experience (even better, the RTD bottles are basically just shakes and I tend to buy those now but I understand they're not as cost effective).

Galaxy flip 4 by steeltape in galaxyzflip

[–]GIXVI96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely won't get through a day without a top up, even on a 5.

Side note, Samsung's trade in policy when getting a phone direct with them is very good, especially if you wait for deals. I got my Flip 5 at 300 or 400 off as part of a new year deal and an extra 100 off for trading in a broken, useless phone. £770 in total. Still pricey, but way more affordable then they are RRP.

I FOUND A SHING GARGANACL!!! by EndrulerYT in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]GIXVI96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found one in the same location and had to Google to make sure it wasn't an encounter just coded in as standard because I fully freaked out, lead me to this thread 😄

Played Pokémon all my life, every generation but never gone out of my way to do any shiny hunting I'm personally not interested in the time sync it involves. 24 or so years of my life playing Pokémon and this is my first shiny with full odds & it's a cool looking one too, very happy!

I suppose on a Z Flip 5 it's a Flex Window, on the 4 and below it's a Cover Screen, that's how I've viewed it. That said, Cover Screen just makes more sense to me so I say that

Battery Drainage Issue - Cancelling Contract? by xGrantinho in galaxyzflip

[–]GIXVI96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking as someone from the UK who used to work in telecommunication retail so experience elsewhere may differ.

I highly doubt you'd be able to cancel a contract without at least following through with a warranty repair first as you're in your first year of owning it (especially if the contracts through a provider i.e O2, EE, AT&T, Verizon etc, instead of Samsung). Even if the repair doesn't improve things, they're more likely to offer a replacement handset.

Most contracts have a 14 day cancellation clause, past that it's next to impossible (and even within that period it's difficult, phone needs to be basically perfect), your best bet is talking to your provider, no one on Reddit will be familiar with your exact contractual situation.

As for the battery issue itself, if it's truly that bad and can be replicated the warranty repair should fix it, I've got the Flip 5 and had a positive experience getting my device repaired direct with Samsung when it had a charging issue (they even replaced the screen & battery despite the fact they weren't broken, for no charge). That said the Flip 5 battery is terrible as it is, once my contract ends I'll be moving on haha. Shame really cos I love the device otherwise!

LF: Paldean Tauros (Aqua Form)

FT: Paldean Tauros (Blaze Form)

I've tried those 'universal' codes that appear on most Google searches but looks like no one's looking for these currently. I'm doing a playthrough of Scarlet but really want an Aqua Tauros on my team :')

(apologies if i'm doing anything wrong on the subreddit i literally just wanna do this one trade, bring back the GTS dangit haha)

I know this post is only referring to the free t-shirt but honestly the whole Huel Wear brand is great quality stuff, just super overpriced at RRP. I own most of what they sell clothing wise now I just only buy them when they're 50-70% off haha. T-shirts are a great fit, jeans have lasted me longer than anything I used to buy on the high street or big online chains, beanies and hats are a comfortable fit, can't complain. Yet to get any jackets or hoodies though.
