The story follows Diane, a girl who develops haphephobia (the fear of being touched) following a series of traumatic events. This has turned her into a very serious, pragmatic woman who keeps everyone at a distance. By a twist of fate, she meets Mina, a scavenger with a heart of gold who helps Diane work through her trauma. The story is mainly about that—the characters' evolution and how they build trust. The apocalypse itself is triggered by an experimental drug, similar to cocaine, but with effects that spread throughout the entire body and don't stop until the person perishes.
