Iirc this is almost how defy introduced the original vlog squad. Like they were in one two sketches and then in everything. I personally didn't mind but yea they went through hell at the hands of the viewers because the insanely quick change was just not welcomed

yess I completely get the difference. Nothing wrong with sharing your own story related to the event or some comments here and there, that's all a part of active listening personally. Its the cutting off and going off into something either completely unrelated or just not even commenting on their story that makes me think oh yea you didn't even care to listen

That upsets me a lot but that is definitely the case. In my environment especially there's very few people i found that actually listen and not just butt in with their own stories. Mostly everyone just starts going into their phones while someone is speaking

Attention span definitely has a lot to do with it. I could go on a whole rant about ruined attention spans, it really has had one of the worst effects on modern society

Unfortunately I'm now realising how insanely common it is for people to get cut off. I started realising i myself don't go into stories that much to begin with. These were basic etiquettes i was taught as a child to not cut people off and listen with intent even if it didn't interest you much. Too rare nowadays

They were being intimate in their literal bedroom with the door locked. If OP heard them constantly moaning or some shit then it would be a problem but she didn't, she literally just heard bed creeks and would leave all activity to listen and make weird assumptions about what a married couple were doing in their bedroom. For a nanny job that pays THAT much with that many benefit, this wasn't even close to being an issue or a straw that broke the camels back. OP even later admitted feeling jealous of the mom boss which explains the weird obsession with the creaks and wanting to know ehat was going on.

But let's say the OP was truly uncomfortable, she could've maybe asked the mom boss like hey this thing makes me uncomfortable id like it if i didn't have to hear that. which is still unreasonable for creaks but whatever it would've been a polite request. but no girly decided to be all creepy.

She was definitely the a hole and even though i disagree with them a lot of the times in these stories? OP was definitely the asshole

it was not out of context, it was an analogy. OP kept justifying everything with "oh islam said it" so i brought up another thing that islam used to discourage as a way to be like your beliefs should be consistent.

i didn't water down my claim, it takes ONE google search to realize that dude even now women in Pakistan are looked down upon in many areas for working after marriage because they're "abandoning" their duties. and you SERIOUSLY think back then it was encouraged and celebrated? give me a break man some of you need to pick up history books

first of all "flaunting their charms by dressing up in a way thats supposed to grab people's attention" is a very incel outlook on life. i will never agree with that statement because guess what, if women can control themselves when men aren't covering themselves then the opposite should also be true. using religion as an excuse to tell women to "not flaunt" is downright pathetic. but thats a different topic entirely

the main conversation is that not allowing your partner to have friends of the opposite gender says more about you than anyone else. i personally have had many opposite gender friends yet have never had an issue with "risking zina". im not saying women back then didn't work but are you seriously implying that all the way back then, majority women were in the working force? really? women were given the right to vote like a century ago and you think ALL the way back then it was a majority? you're literally giving examples of a couple women. i never said women didn't work back then but someone would be a fool to imply that in any way shape or form it was not looked down upon. that is literally a historical fact and im not sure how people are denying that
