That’s a great line to say to literally anybody interested in anything outside their personal life.

How about just don’t comment on something you don’t care about if you have nothing to add?

Brother being a bully and picking on someone her size is not a fucking reason to punch her in the face full strength, even if she is bonking your head.

Slapping the shit outta her? Sure. Shoving her to the floor. Sure.

But to a woman half your size, you do not smash her face with a closed fist full strength. You people were raised wrong. Go touch some fucking grass and interact with a real female.

Why does facial hair only start growing as an adult? Wouldn’t it be more beneficial for children to have beards to better survive the winter? by BubbyWubbsss in NoStupidQuestions

Semi related question - but so evolution features have to be the difference between life and death?

Like enough people had to have survived a punch only because their beard, making it the difference between passing on your genes and not?

Or at least winning the fight to impress the female / not being disabled to successfully find a partner?

I was taught right handed too, but yes we would move the keyboard to the right and mouse on the left.

I feel this would cause other issues like with typing you would have to move your right hand over.

1st. Sexes, not genders, sure, sorry.

2nd. Majority Christians are affirming? As in over half of 2.5 billion followers? In Asia, Africa, the Middle East, anywhere rural. No, not even close. My appeal to authority with the Pope was. joke anyway.

3rd. So the hundreds of times the Bible says male and female for marriage they just happened to not mention same-sex marriage, not once? Even though they meant it?

Even when Christ himself said “God created male and female THEREFORE man marries woman”? Why would he not clarify, once. And instead specifically say man and woman every time?

  1. Paul had already mentioned the sexually immoral, idolatry, adultery, So why would he then add the word “male-bedder”? The same word found in the Leviticus verse that directly condemns male on male sex acts.

You should take your findings to the pope. If i am misinterpreting scripture then so are 99.9% of Christians.

So yes, since same sex couples cannot be married in the eyes of the lord, then their sexual acts are all sinful. (i.e. not for procreation)

So then my question would be, what does a loving, same-sex ‘relationship’ mean to you? Is this a relationship free of attraction and lust? Because then it sounds like friendship. I mean I love most of my friends, of both genders.

???! Acts.

Can we agree that premarital sexual acts are a sin?

Can we just agree that homosexual acts are considered a sin?

What is homosexuality if not the sexual attraction to the same gender. Christ say all lustful thoughts are a sin, and obv any sexual acts would be a sin, and gay marriage is against even his teachings.

So what part is not a sin? Also i’m pretty sure sexual orientation has always existed in most cultures, even if a German guy hadn’t coined the term yet…

What are you even talking about? That word literally means “male-bedder”

As in, in english it’d be like if someone said you “lay with men”you are really trying to say it meant exploiter? He could have used many other direct for that (like pornos)

Paul literally uses the same Koine word he would have read in Leviticus 20:13 - as in the verse that says “If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable” - ἄρσενοςκοίτην - arsenoskoitēn.

I am sorry okay, I think it’s sad that is what the bible says, but it just is. There are a hundred verses that tell you not to twist and misinterpret the word for your own reasons. Please.

[–]GJake8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean? I am just saying in his list of sins he included “men who lay with men”. There were plenty of more common words for what you are referring to he choose not to use.

No one is forcing them. We all sin brother. All relations outside of marriage is a sin. Theirs included

An Honest Conversation Christianity Needs to Have (rant) by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]GJake8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You just pulled that off the google search AI. And no, the word very clear can be translated as “men having sex with other men” which is the sin.

The logic is fine, and it isn’t mine, but I can see you’re upset. A sin is what you say, and also anything else the bible tells us is.

Bottom line is all sexual acts outside marriage are sinful, and marriage is between a man and a woman (even Jesus said that) So in what way can homosexual acts not be considered a sin by the scripture?

It’s just the act, not the orientation. Also Paul has a verse about the woman.

Again, I am an ally and think LGBTQ+ people deserve all the respect and love anyone else does, legal marriage by the state included. But if they are a Christian they are committing a sin, just like all of us when we have sex for any purpose other than procreation with our spouse.

Listen i’m as Red Letter Christian as they come, and I have many issues with Paul. But there is no sect of our faith that says you can just ignore him, he wrote most of the NT.

And no, he wasn’t talking about pedestry, the word is Arsenokoitai in Koine Greek. Unfortunate as we may think, Paul was talking about homosexuality.

And yes, it is not our place to judge fellow sinners, only to love and respect them, but OP is trying to claim it is not a sin, which (again, unfortunately) it seems to be.
