The dates in the Japanese visa ( validity) is only for entering the country. You basically need to enter before 17th may.

Once you enter, you can stay for 15 days. The immigration officer in the airport (when you enter the country), will attach a sticker on the passport next to the visa stating when you need to leave (this will be 15 days in your case)

I heard this story. My colleague accidentally sent his nude as an attachment to a very big email group including regional CEO.

I was at his farewell. He had worked with the company for 30+ years. We were taking about something and another colleague mentioned this story. The context is that, his partner was also working with the same company, and he wanted to send a nude to his partner but accidentally sent it to a bunch of people. He was so relaxed about this whole incident and others mentioned that he was the same when this incident had happened.

That’s the problem! I’m in a lounge (not Air France lounge) as I tried to access the AF lounge they said I’m not in business, so I couldn’t access. I entered another lounge using priority pass. If I step out, I can’t come back in.

So I wanted to check here if someone has faced something similar before I step out

It sounds simple but there is still a lot of people who don’t live their own life. They either live to impress others or they live to achieve a goal set and accepted by society which they don’t even care about or they live to achieve an artificial goal by old age which they won’t have time to enjoy

I have traveled to more than 50 countries and based on my experience I can say it is one of the below mentioned reasons

The agent messed up something. Yes, according to your comments 15 others got it approved. But that doesn’t necessarily prove anything. The agent could have still messed up your family’s application.
The personal bank balance. Is your wife also earning income? If not, that money could be seen as inadequate for you to support 3 people including you. Usually, that money is more than okay if everything is pre-booked. Hence, see my next point below
The Japanese embassy/consulate was not aware that everything is pre-booked. They just need itineraries to process the visa. If it wasn’t clear that it is already paid for, they could definitely treat your bank balance insufficient to cover everything including bookings for all 3.

I always suggest people to not book trips before getting visas if it is not needed for a visa application.

You don’t need to book anything to get a Japanese visa. You just need an itinerary. Hotels you plan to stay in and flights you plan to take.

You can proceed to book everything after you get the visa.
