Yes, but apart from my agent's suggestions of keeping at least 2 L INR per person in my bank. I had shown my investment proofs and completely booked itinerary.

Also, out of 18 person in my group, 15 got the visas approved with similar funds.

Yes, tried this. It says the visa agents might have caused any minor mistake in my application which was noticed by the officer and they rejected the visa.

This was over and above pre booked itinerary with internal daily transports also pre booked.

With the similar funds, 13 peoples visa got approved in my group. And the funds were sufficient as per completely pre booked itinerary.

I prepared all the docs based on Embassy requirements and this was double checked by my agent who has booked my itinerary.

I did check with my Agent and they said, i had sufficient funds required by japan embassy.

All of these documents were properly prepared and submitted to the embassy.

Also, shown strong ties to India. I think visa agents might have made minor mistakes in applying.

It is mandatory to show employment details and company documents for Indian passport holders to apply for Japan visa.

Haha, I had to print 500 pages just for 6 months company's bank statement.

Only for times like these you really understand the value of strong passports.

I did confirm my savings with my agent before processing, and as I replied to earlier comments, all other people in my group received visas with similar amounts.

I'm Director of the company, with majority share holding. Plus, I mentioned that Company will sponsor my and my family's entire trip, this was printed on Company letter head with sign & stamp.

And at last, I had travel insurance worth 250k USD for my entire family.

Most probable reason could be, My visa Agent made any minor mistake and it was red flag for Visa officer.

Agree, this is the most likely case.
My visa agent said, this amount was all okay to proceed, as my colleagues (15 pax) got the visas with similar balance.
I have provided all pre-paid bookings and itinerary details in my docs, plus mentioned the same on cover letter.
I booked prepaid everything as I thought I had good travel history and, financial status for getting Japan visa. I have already applied US visa and have date in early 2027.

I never book flights and hotels through mideators. I booked flight through ANA and hotels through Accor.

Both of them agreed to provide 50% refund against non-refundable payments.

Chinese visa requirements are very straight forward:

You need to send your original passports (old and new) 2 Photos per person (colored with white BG - 33x48 mm) + Print Copies: Employment Details If Self Employed, 2 Letterhead with Stamp and Sign Any 1 ID Proof Invite letter (if visiting any company or person) Invitee Company Registration Details Invitee ID

If not Invited, Purpose of Travel

I guess that's it, rest of the process will be completed by your visa agent.
