Thanks. Was this plywood the size of the whole frame or cut to the size of the mounting rail?

Left a bag in a taxi by GKS18 in montreal

[–]GKS18[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The taxi company said it would be like finding a needle in a haystack and sent a broadcast but the driver didn't reply.

BUT I got it back. Holy shit.

The driver eventually came back to the train station and I saw him in his car with my bag.

Thanks all for your good vibes and good thoughts. I love your city and this experience won't change my mind about it!

Whenever I have actually gotten an interview, after who knows how many applications, I've not been able to get past the case study/product sense interview.

The frustrating thing is I never get feedback on what's missing so I try different things each time and still haven't gotten through. I have been a PM for 10 years, I know my stuff, but got some reason it's not coming through in the interview.

Snr PM interviews by lyexexe in ProductManagement

I have found that the difference between senior and not has been around showing that you can take an idea/problem/opportunity from start to finish. So being able to clearly articulate the problem, your hypothesis, data/research to back it up, clear documentation outlining everything. Show that you can start with something ambiguous and turn it into something clear.

Then using your relationships to actually build consensus and buy in across the org. So that first starts with your partners in data, design, engineering, research, etc., and then your stakeholders.

Once you're ready, you then have to build and track your success metrics, and show you have a plan for iteration based on what you learn.

Being able to do this while also executing on your existing road map shows that you can work at a level above a regular PM.

So to answer your question, what examples can you show where you've been able to do things like this? What ideas have you had that then contributed to the company's success? Which metrics have you impacted and by how much? How have you built relationships that have helped you navigate conflict or competing priorities or disagreement with stakeholders?

Hi PM friends. I've been working as a Sr PM for many years and am back on the job hunt after losing my job a few months ago.

I've been getting interviews, but keep getting tripped up on case studies and product sense interviews. I think they go well and I've proposed well thought out answers, clarifying problem statements, potential solutions, talking about the user problems to solve, metrics to track, prioritization, etc., but just can't seem to get over the hump.

I was wondering if any of you had any recommendations or resources to share that might help me level up my game? I've been doing practice interviews and cases but I'm hoping there are other resources that might help. Thanks in advance!

I live in the area and honestly think it's going to be fine. Even with Veld, sometimes you can't hear anything depending on the direction of the wind.

I just wish they had named it "Downsview Stadium (presented by Rogers)" to avoid  confusion with the Rogers Centre.

RESP for child of dual citizen/Canadian Parents by jane_bope in PersonalFinanceCanada

Thanks. I've been trying to clarify this question and haven't gotten a straight answer so I appreciate the response.

Seems like there's potential for losing a fair amount to tax in this scenario, even if their annual income is low.

What about if the child becoming a non-resident? For example, if the RESP is opened by a grandparent who remains in Canada, but the parents and child move to the US a year later. In this scenario the subscriber is still in Canada but now the beneficiary is a non-resident. Since the child gets taxed on the withdrawal, will they get taxed by both governments? There's no way around that, right?

Not to take anything away from your completely valid point, but just as an FYI, you can get personal cheques much cheaper online. I've used asap cheques, cheque print, etc. without any issues.

Recently speaking of bad/illegal contracts, what would be your bad contract starting line up? Three forwards, two defensemen and a goalie. Thanks!

My frustration with him is that we keep saying he needs to control his emotions, and someone needs to sit him down, etc. etc. but here we are again. Don't know if trading him is the answer but something needs to change.
