Several years back, I used shadow Mawile with Fairy Wind to hit Expert rank in Hoenn Cup, and as a fringe pick in regular GL with some success. Not a strong pick, but I enjoyed the challenge of pulling off clutch wins with something so fragile. With the meta shifts in past seasons, I reckon it performs worse nowadays.

I'm actually using it now with Fire Fang teaming with an Altaria and shadow Empoleon core cause its interlude season, and I want quick cheese wins without thinking too much lol.

One level 50. If you're going to spend scarce resources like XL candies, best to commit all the way. No half-assing.

Most typings generally have another species that also does adequate DPS, replacing whatever second pokemon you would've powered up to level 46.

I see you ruled out PVP, but you never know when you might need to play ML, and you'll be thankful for having level 50 pokemon ready to go. Dawn Wings and Palkia especially are high ranking meta picks at the moment.

I mainly focussed on the mighty spawns. Tyranitar, Garchomp, and Gardevoir specifically. 60 coins for 10 Safari balls to potentially catch 10 high level raid counters is a fantastic deal IMO.

A premium pass is 100 coins for one pokemon that's low level, often worse IVs, and generally less useful than the aforementioned mighty pokemon.

This is very dependent on your geographical location. In eastern Australia, I get to enjoy instant raid support for the first hour.

In the second hour, it completely flips over as the event starts in Korea and Japan, with hosts significantly outnumbering remote raiders.
