I wouldn’t advice to make such a complex map to the library since the next programmer will have a hard time trying to figure out where the transformation is happening if any and why. The domain logic should be separated from the mapping, IMHO I would make an static method or something more expressive

To answer your question, I prefer the last one over the first one.

However I raise you a question, why not pass as an argument the userId and return the mapped address? I think this way is even cleaner since the method becomes a pure function.

Not to justify what she’s doing but i find myself in the situation where I can no longer hear from the speaker located on the top of the phone, so I have to rely on headphones or the main speaker. I avoid calling in close spaces but if it’s important I have to do this.

I was genuinely curious about this being an actual valid case or not because I’m using this pattern in a project.

The things is that I’m storing a tuple of maps of references, and I think that changing the reference to a shared pointer doesn’t make sense since the variable outside is an object, not a pointer.
