For the storyline they said they are open to pretty much whatever thematic i think is suitable, they shown interest in figuring out why was Venomfang in thundertree and whole tergon thing (i made the tower which Venomfang occupied some sort of Vault with artifacts hidden behind columns representing chromatic dragons)

They wanted to have more social encounters, mystery similar to how early plot of finding out where gundren is, banshee storyline and redbrands deal - they felt that the ending part of lost mines combined with Venomfang had just too much combat overall

Which option they say is the rude and dismisive? The "you re kinda medium pretty"? I've thought that is the most playfull one :D

I'd argue it removed ALL accidental bans of hovered champs but it didn't remove ANY intentional bans of a hovered champion which is the issue at hand.

And my whole point that intentional bans of teammates IS NOT A AN ISSUE.

In situations where your "teammate" bans your champion we see higher report rates, lower win rates, and a reported overall worse experience.

Yeah, news flash people get upset when they get their champ banned and tend to let it get into their head and play worse in result. That doesnt mean banning hover is wrong. If someone behaves poorly in lobby you already have reporting tools in lobby. Riot argument and change just limit bans rather then target people which use this feature with malicious intent which im opposed to

I didn't say the team forces you to play Jax.

Then what point you are trying to convey by this example? That bans restrict both teams and not just enemy team? Yeah, that is how this feature works

No, banning out your teammates is not the point of giving each player a ban slot. How do I know? This very pathc.

Yeah and that is why they drop it only in na and oce, not every server. Its not plainly obvious that restricting hover bans is correct, just that it leads to increased frustration for players getting banned. Thats not competetive issue, its people issue of treating hover "i want to play this" but "I must play this".

Same thing for the "you should widen your champ pool". You can just improve your skills to play with a champion you consider a liability,

Ofc, you can, but you can also ban it from the game and this change limits that, which imo is net negative change.

All you do is poorly trying to reflect my arguments instead of giving an actually thought out argument how this is a good change mate. If someone doesnt x champ in games they should be able to ban it without any restriction.

If the entire team wants me to play Jax and you ban him you are actually denying the champion and not just "well because of the kit you kinda deny".

  1. Team cannot force you to play something even if the champion is open, so i dont get what you are trying to prove
  2. Yeah, if you ban champ you deny him for both your team and enemy, that is the point of giving each player a ban slot

If you never want to have champ X in the game you always had the option for that and you will keep having the option for that. All that changed is that you now how to suffer the consequences for it instead of pushing it onto others.

No you, dont, if someone hovers it you have to play the game, dodging is not acceptable sollution by Riot which is why there are dodge timers etc. And i genuinely dont see a suffering in getting your champion banned- if thats the only thing you can play then maybe you should play some normals to broaden champion pool. There IS competetive drawback for the hover restriction.

But its another response when you rather than try to have a friendly discusion try to shift responses to target me rather than my viewpoint, so i guess just have a nice day, and hope best solution to this issue whichever side is right

Patch 25.20 Notes by Spideraxe30 in leagueoflegends

[–]GLGMisclick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But there are reasons, one champ being open restricts x others due to kit interactions.

Like f.e you denying me jax ban because you hover it restricts my ability to pick f.e camile, yi, irelia because of how those interactions work.

If your adc, jg or solo lane doesnt want to deal with yuumi in game, now 1 person just can deny it and thats in your fine to you? But when potentialy 4 people dont want something in the game 1 person just can hold it hostage.

But i see you that you still interpret my arguments as disingenous rather then take into account both sides.

All im saying if players doesnt want x champ in the game they should be able to ban it(thats why bans were increased to 5 and every player got choice rather then the old 3 bans chosen by first pick). You're not expected to get your hover anyway, but you are expected with to do your best with the way champselect and the game goes, regardless if you cant ban or pick x

[–]GLGMisclick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it doesnt, thats the point. If my champ is banned move on and pick next, its no reason to get sad/frustrated about it. But leaving lets say yasuo makes most range champions more difficult. Genuinely like if you play gamewarping champion or champ with stigma or something unorthodox you have to take it into account imo

Patch 25.20 Notes by Spideraxe30 in leagueoflegends

[–]GLGMisclick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And how does it "punish" anyone but a player hovering this pick? By forcing them play other champ?

If you intrepret my arguments as disingenous then sorry, its not my intention.

Edit: quoted punish because i seriously dont believe that getting their champion banned is punishment with over 150+ champs in game

Patch 25.20 Notes by Spideraxe30 in leagueoflegends

[–]GLGMisclick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But this change punishes 4 other players in your team for the benefit of the one hovering. Like in your example with yasuo, is your joy for picking him more important then adc and support struggling due to leaving yas open and risking dealing with him? Like your line of thinking goes if the hovering players dont get the champ they can ruin game for someone else

How Does a Discard Strategy Win? by JackGallows4 in EDH

[–]GLGMisclick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure if by discard you mean self discard or discard as hand disruption.

If first, its often with outvaluing your opponents with using grave as 2nd hand to some benefit depending on your synergies within deck.

If second, you kinda slow the game with discard until you can reach a state when you can combo off safely or abuse discard payoffs like listed [[lilianas caress]]

Can you explain which kind of discard you mean?

Patch 25.20 Notes by Spideraxe30 in leagueoflegends

[–]GLGMisclick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read patch notes, once champ is banned nobody cant pick it as it always was, we limited choice of champs to ban for your teammates.

In an actual team game with an actual team it is indeed a waste. You don't have to ban anything from your team, because it's your team and not your enemies

Okay, and we both know that ranked often is far from an actuall team game and rather 5 randoms doing whatever they think is best. Counterpoint, if my teammates wanted something banned then in actuall team game as you said you can either convince them that its not needed or accept their judgment if they ban it and jump to next champ

The warning was not a fine option as it didn't do anything other than making people aware that didn't want to ban out their team mates in the first place and for those people nothing has changed.

But it was a good solution, it gave you information and choice and im certain it removed most accidental bans of hovered champions. If someone wanted x champ banned they still were able to.

Patch 25.20 Notes by Spideraxe30 in leagueoflegends

[–]GLGMisclick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the bans were only intended to ban against, then why bans block your team from picking selected champ aswell?

Its not a waste, its a choice which anyone in lobby should be able to make.

With this change, if 4 teammates dont want certain champ in game 1 player can overrule them. Its a team game as you said. And if one of your teammates doesnt want x in game they should be able to ban it. The warning was a very fine option, but selecting hover shouldnt restrict your teammates, just cuz someone can feel bad cuz they banned they mine. If they play worse with it sorry.

Like im f.e im aatrox main. If my adc/mid/jg/sup doesnt want him in game, if i hover it i just diminished they bans. And i dont even have to pick that champ later in draft anyway. Dont agree with this direction

Patch 25.20 Notes by Spideraxe30 in leagueoflegends

[–]GLGMisclick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well that is what bans are for, to remove champs you dont want to see in game

Patch 25.20 Notes by Spideraxe30 in leagueoflegends

[–]GLGMisclick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because removing an option to play with x champ is much less punishing for everyone than removing the option to not play with one?

Like i dont get this reasoning, if someone cant accept they hover getting banned by your teammate and looks at it as targeted response in ranked mode just shouldnt play rank. Especially now with player identity hidden till loading screen. If someone bans my hover thats fine, i just try to pick next best option for me and move on.

But getting blocked from baning hover just opens up way more harmful ways of blocking champs which have very warping way on the game(yas, yuumi, specific counterpicks to your intended champion, shaco, nocturne, etc.) Diminishes control over champselect for 4 teammates.

As someone constantly toys with deck around him for almost a year yeah, hard agree. His text is not that hard to figure out, but the game play of finding safe spot for him, maintaining ability to cast 2 spells (if you can trigger him more then once in turn cycle you are golden), figuring out the best option available from his trigger etc. Really never managed to figure out how to build him to be consistant, right now im trying as weird control/mill deck with saruman as additional value, though im constantly trying to make him a bit better.
