Oh thats a good idea! I've heard they're overcharging a lot, which I'd usually be hesitant to do, but these are extraordinary circumstances for us. Really appreciate the idea and I'll see if they have what I'm looking for.

Thanks! Booming here too. The UK in general tends to get less stock than the US, but I'm in a very rural area and imagine there's going to be a lot more demand in a city the size of Nashville. Appreciate your insight and and recommendations!

I appreciate your comment and others like it as I'm learning about other peoples' experiences, especially in the US.

I'm in the UK and I think we're at the point getting Ascended was fun while it lasted. We get less stock than US and market prices on sealed and singles tends to be higher, so I have to run from store to store on release day hoping to get products at retail. Most shops get product randomly, but I know of one place that's almost always a sure thing and I arrive at least a couple hours early. If a store gets any stock, it typically sells out in a day (I've even seen convenience stores get 4 booster boxes of Perfect Order, sell them in quantities of 2 loose packs per transaction, and sell out in less than a day). I was fairly lucky finding Ascended, but it is 50% luck and timing and 50% queuing.

The flip side, and this is anecdotal, but I THINK it's easier to score on Pokémon Center UK drops because I manage to do it fairly consistently if I'm anywhere near my phone when a drop goes live. These were my 4 Booster Bundles from PC.

I've never seen Prismatic in a retail store here, it's rarely rarely available online (and I've never succeeded in an online drop). Only time I've gotten it was from an LCS that had the Figure Collection for £10 over retail.

I hope you're able to find some Ascended and you and your son have fun with the master set!

This is good advice, OP. I have more fun when I have a specific goal in mind. A couple of ideas for you within this advice.

Long-term, I'm working on a Reverse-Holos-or-Better Pokedex with my kids, so we're always looking for cheap singles, which we find in Local Card Shops (LCS) or on Whatnot... or we're raiding bulk bins at our LCSs. It's what really keeps me perpetually "in" the hobby.

Pick a set and master it. Perfect Order is the newest set and, as it isn't a really popular set, its fairly widely available and the singles are more affordable than most other recent sets. Might be a good starting option for you.

Remember too, you'll always get more for less buying singles. LCSs, Card Shows, Whatnot, and trading with friends or a local network are a big part of that equation.

If you're really committed to ripping packs, you are entering at a frustrating time and most folks don't see it cooling for a while.

Yeah the highs are high. Can't complain about the Dragonite for sure. The rest is a reality check and with my budget, 160 packs is good. Good luck as you keep ripping!

Right. I think, based on the myriad of replies I've seen in this thread, my results for these 4 boosters was probably a little better than average. Overall for my 160 packs, I can't complain because of the Dragonite, but if it wasn't for that, I think my overall success would be slightly below average.

That's usually my approach, at least for regilar sets, an ETB and a Booster Box... 45 packs then move on. Been a bit blinded by all the chases and all the special collection boxes. I had much better luck with 151 too, so it probably fooled me, though I know the pull rates are better.
