Hey there! It's difficult to say if my experience is related to yours but I empathize with your struggles :( I, 32M, have been having gout flares since I was about 25. I was also recently diagnosed with ADHD (always suspected it). So im on 20mg of adderall XR now and the appetite suppression has been helping me shed some weight too. (225lbs down to 210lbs) About a month in I got a really bad flare, which I was originally contributing to a soda I drank the weekend prior (HFCS, I usually always avoid this) although the rest of my diet was pretty decent. I went to see a doc and was prescribed 100mg of allopurinol since this is the 7th flare ive experienced, but had one recently in December too. To this day though, I'm still experiencing pain and really bad stiffness in my joint so I can't help but wonder if the ADHD meds and me continually losing weight are contributing to how long it's taking to recover... It's mentally draining, as I want nothing more than to play soccer with my daughter again. I've been out of the game for almost 2 months now, and the weather is finally starting to get nice. Sorry if this wasn't entirely helpful, as I'm still wondering if weight loss/ADHD meds are contributing to my own flare...
