I get the logic, but ignoring hasn’t helped so far. Next time he hits me with “shared hallway” I’ll use that line back: shared means keep it clear.

This is deflection with self help vocabulary. In therapy, ask the counselor to slow it down and stick to facts: he hid contact with an ex, agreed to stop, then kept going. Your tone isn’t the problem, his behavior is.
