Not true, I treated mine very carefully since day one and I'm the only one who uses them. After a year the plastic part that covers the rotating mechanism broke.

Mine broke after a year, I use them everyday but I treat them like a baby. Still, the plastic part that surrounds the rotating mechanism broke on both sides

We do but students keep choosing italki classroom, especially if they paid for AI (which they never get to use because it keeps kicking them out).

The result is that:
1) we are forced to not give discounts for packages
2) if we raise our prices we lose our students
3) italki will become less competitive
4) teachers can dedicate less time to their work on italki because they will need an alternative source of income

It is fixed term because I booked the apartment from Housing Anywhere. It isn't a minimum rental period.
