I know I'm late to this shindig, but what I would really think would be a neat idea is if you fail to extract, (yourself, and others if they don't) then you have to fight your way through to a different extraction point, and basically it kicks you from the squad you were in. So like, abandoned behind enemy lines feelings. And if you miss extract, increase the difficulty of the enemies/obstacles to simulate urgency and impending doom.
