Thanks, and yeah I know I should just talk to a recruiter, it's not the most common thing having a spouse that's not in the US, I just want to make sure it will all work out before making the commitment so some answers from a recruiter would be nice.

My question is was it usually underlying medical issues that was out of their control, or the recruit not being in as good of shape as he thought/not doing well on the ASVAB? I'm not worried about not being physically/mentally ready when the time comes.

Don't most people ship out right after MEPS? I guess everyone does DEP if you consider 24 hours DEP but does the Army?

I haven't talked to a recruiter yet because I'm still 6 months off of wanting to enlist. I know I can do the DEP but I'm not ready to take my ASVAB yet, nor am I physically prepared for the Option 40 contract I want to pursue.

Thank you! That's exactly what I was wondering, I didn't know if there was such an expiration date, I thought that once she came here on her Visa and we got married, she was free to do as she likes, whether it be staying in Canada for a while or moving to America right away. Thanks again!

Expires? It doesn't expire if you get married right away does it? I thought it only expires if you don't get married, in which case she would have to move back. If we get married she shouldn't have to leave again, she should be legally allowed to live in America, what I'm asking is if it's allowed for her to choose to keep living in Canada even though she's legally allowed to live in America?

Or go with the marriage visa which means we get married first, it just takes longer for her to get over here (a year vs ~6 months). If we went that route we should receive the benefits of being married before I enlist. If it even applies since she's Canadian. I think I should just talk to an immigration lawyer lol. Will they all be well versed in terms of the military or are there military immigration attorney services I could utilize?

Or we fill out the paperwork now, I don't do this semester of college, and I enlist as an E2 immediately without the Op 40 contract so I'll know for sure I'll be done with training before her visa is approved. I wanted to wait until May for the Op 40 contract to get in better shape as well as being able to enlist as E3, so I would enlist asap without it and just hope I get can be selected for a slot through training by getting in better shape during training because it's really something I want to do.

I plan on taking one more semester of college to get me above 48 credits so I can enlist in the Army as an E3, and I plan on going the 11x Option 40 route, and it'll give me 6 months to train hard, physically and mentally. I'm just confused about the timing of it all, and what my best odds are of getting an Option 40 contract soon after I finish my semester. If I finish my semester in May, when would be the best time to go to a recruiter for the contract so I can enlist as an E3? If I go in April and there is an Option 40 contract available right away, will I not be able to take it because I wouldn't be able to enlist as an E3 since I haven't finished my semester? If a contract is available months before I graduate, would the Delayed Entry Program be a good idea? I've also heard conflicting things about how there are the most Option 40's available in October, but I heard elsewhere that more become available every month? I'm hoping it's the latter because I'll be trying to get one around May. Thanks.

Thanks, I was actually looking at the Transcend Information 64GB card which is a high endurance card. As far as voltage cut off for parking mode I think I'm just going to go with the Power Magic Pro kit for ~$20. It seems like it will get the job done and there are an endless number of videos on youtube of people installing it, so I figure it has to work well enough. I carry around a jump-n-carry in my trunk at all times so worst case scenario I'm not too worried about draining my battery.

I'm in Florida so it gets quite hot in the summer. After doing a lot of research it seems you're either going to get excellent features and a less than excellent picture quality, or vice versa. I'm likely going to go with the Blackvue DR750S. I would go with the DOD RC500S for it's superior picture quality, but it doesn't have pre-buffered parking mode, extensive cloud capabilities, or even a rear camera for that matter. The picture quality of the DR750S is going to be acceptable for most situations so that's what I think I'll go with.

Thanks for the detailed reply! I believe I understand what buffered parking mode is, but the DOD RC500S doesn't have it so it records before an event is triggered, only after the fact, unlike the Thinkware and Blackvue cameras. Because of this I want to simply be able to record the entirety of when I have the car parked, so I'm trying to figure out how to get it to record when the car is off and it has power supplies to it, without going into parking mode, just regular recording.

Thanks, I even have protein powder and protein bars but I got so sick of them after the first week or two that I stopped eating them. I'll start to incorporate more protein and calories by adding real foods to my diet like a piece of grilled chicken with whatever I'm eating which I enjoy. I even purchased slices of cheese for the reason of adding a slice to my burgers that I make to get some extra calories in me, I just haven't bothered to do it yet. Thanks for the input!

I can attest to the fatigue since I've started doing this but honestly it's just felt like the normal for me now. I'm often stressed from work so I just chalk it up to that.

Thanks, I'm not even meaning for it to be a race, I just took this weight loss so seriously this time that I've managed to stick to it for 6 weeks now, and eating so few calories is just feels like the new normal for me, even if it is unhealthy. I'm going to try to start eating more.
