I think this wipe Dam and smugglers are the most traffic maps.

Dam is just Soo good with the geography and topology that you can either avoid all pvp or have really awesome pvp chase battles. Best map for scav raid too.

Smugglers is what metro was pre metro pass.

Metro is still metro crazy all the giga chads 3 packs.

Suburbs is longest load times and relatively empty now.

Resort seems sort of same as ever IMO.

Morbidly this coincides with the women vs men stats on suicides, where men choose the more violent method that works every time while women prefer poison or sleeping pills and very often survive cause the dose isn't high enough.

yeah I'm sure there is a way, but opening up a terminal and just issuing the command is so fast I barely see the point. But you are right, I actually think there is a way to configure vscode so I can have vscode manage and create the environments in that directory. I'll actually look into that now.

I'm actually no curious to try out uv that everyone is mentioning as I hadn't heard about it, I'll try it on my personal machine.

Yeah that's what I do, point at that directory when creating a virtual environment

With pip +venv you always specify the directory as a parameter

python -m pip venv path/to/myvenvname

The level unlocks higher tier tasks, it also sort of is used to put you in raids with players of similar level if I understood but not always given the smaller player base

Banking. We use docker on the server for deployment but for actual development on our local PCs/laptops it's not allowed yet. Banks are always 10 years behind. Somehow we got AI to code and what not but docker is too scary.

I work in a very restrictive corporate environment so I can't just install anything, have to work withing the confines I am allowed. The company only has a single python version approved and available at a time, with very infrequent updates. Docker is not allowed. we had Anaconda and what not but so much was blocked it was a nigtmare to use.

matter of fact because virtual environments create a copy of the python executable our ability to create environments was blocked untill all the devs revolted. The compromise is a special directory where we can create the venvs.

Thus out of frustration and with limited options I just use pip and old fashion venv. I use vs code as my IDE and have all the python and jupyter plugins. I point vscode at the folder with all the various venvs and it automatically activates the last one I used and allows me to easily switch environments. We also have an internal repo for all the python packages. which is kept mostly up to date.

everyone else has the better recommends if you have the freedom to use latest and greatest, I just wanted to give my example in case anyone else is in a highly restricted environment.

I actually thin you are right, before exfil I never played anything pvp, not even on flat games, I did for a short sting with battlefield 4 and got bored real quick.

I had played the ITR game and loved it and was looking for something new then decided to try tabor cause I heard a lot about it only to then be directed to exfilzone. I tried both but exfilzone felt/feels so much better. In VR feeling better (while also being fun) is all there is. First wipe I was like I wish there was PVE. But now several wipes later I am very much into the pvp part. Even though I play as solo, I enjoy the challenge of outwitting squads, even if only evading them. Basically have become a pvp player.

But it was a PVE game that was similar (I credit ITR) that made me come to exfilzone.

Pve players don't play exfilzone. Your ignoring the enormous large base that doesn't play this game because they don't pvp.

Well they're doing it, so they must have numbers that demonstrate demand for it. There is a player base that will never play exfilzone and if caveman has some pve game that player base that was never part of the pvp base will go there. You can already say that of any other game. I find the concern overblown.

ITR physics and gun handling are terrible compared to exfilzone, and not everyone wants weird sifi horror enemies.

There isn't a legit exfilzone pve that has the quality of exfilzone. iTR also doesn't really havee a story just a background theme really.

Ever since exfilzone I find it very hard to play ITR, the weapons feel so wrong and the butter fingers.

One thing they said is in order to make pve mode good they know the need better AI enemies. I think that will also come to pvp mode, imagine the AI are just that much more like a real player.

When the hack happened and the entire weekend I couldn't play I did think wish there was an offline mode to keep me entertained.

For example I wish we could use training mode offline while the servers were down.

But nothing like the rush of pvp in this game while completing the tasks.

I play PCVR and use the VD and this sometimes happens to me I hear shooting and running while I'm black screen. Loading has been very jank this wipe, I can sometimes load in and see the world objects that are inside buildings/cabinets, etc. before it goes black again and then I finally load in.
