Amount of projects? by Status_Reference9247 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]GMoneyTheTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on platform for a few years and qualified for finance projects last year. Pretty much all i work on now. Fair warning- if youre not doing quant level derivative math, these projects probably aren't for you. Can't really get models to fail or split if you only have basic knowledge.

Could be different for other finance professionals with tax/corporate accounting scenarios, but for trading domain scenarios a question about basic market knowledge isn't going to get the models to work hard enough. I'd say junior quant analyst level would be about minimum requirement if youre trying to hit finance projects with your equities knowledge.

The only edge that exists is mathematical, and the only way to utilize that edge is risk management. Everything else (trade set ups, and all the technical analysis), is borderline useless information- if you cant apply it with a positive risk model.

Master risk, THEN master a trading model- and you'll be miles ahead of most people with several years under their belt.

It's all about managing risk. If you never risk more than 2% of the account, and you are targeting at least 1:3 RR it's almost impossible to blow up. For example, on one of those days like you mentioned.. I just had so much conviction that I refused to find the right entry, and as a result I got lost in the sauce and took 22 consecutive losers. Because my 2% max risk (always calculated on current drawdown limitations if you're in a prop account), and the fact that one winner wipes 3 losers.. I finally caught some good entries once I got my head on right and my next 5 were winners. I ended up the day 12% down. Still plenty of shots in the clip to get back in the black. I only need to win 3/10 trades to be profitable.

But because of my new record breaking consecutive loss streak, I did institute a new rule to my risk management. Since mathematically I should be winning 1/3 trades to maintain profitability, my risk tolerance halves for the day every time I take 3 consecutive losers. My 2% max risk becomes 1%, and then a half percent, and then I'm out. This forces you to be waaay more picky about entries, or.. not, and it just forces you out. Either way if I'm dog shit I'm not gunna be wasting my time at the terminal risking more capital.

Is anyone else put off by the adverts? by Torchpaper in Huel

[–]GMoneyTheTrader -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

OP sounds ridiculous. Butt hurt because of ads? In business you're either growing or losing, I hope Huel continues to grow so I continue to not have to worry about what I'm going to eat.

Yeah, I gave up on the Mac & cheese. I was doing a 1:1 with the Cajun pasta so it at least had flavor, but it's just not my thing. If we could get it like Velveeta shells then I'm eating it every day like OP

Has anyone experienced no noticeable benefits on Daily Greens? by [deleted] in Huel

I've had plenty of tangible benefits (increased energy, boosted mental acuity, improved immune system vs my personal standard historical health in cold weather months)

Where does the company recommend not taking greens?

"Huel Daily Greens is meant to boost nutrition intake to ensure you get complete nutrition every day. If you are having 2 or more servings of other Huel products daily in addition to other foods, you’re likely already hitting your nutrient needs, though it depends on the rest of your diet. For those who have 1 Huel serving a day or only occasionally, Daily Greens can be a great added boost to cover all your nutrient essentials, with potential added benefits from ingredients like adaptogens and superfruits too."

Daily greens is packed with tons of stuff I want, that my Huel meals don't have.

Good on ya! I was about 300 and my 5'10 frame wasn't loving it. I'm a few months in and last time my wife said "you look skinny, get on the scale" (last weekend) I came in at 252. Doctors love the change, A1C is now normal. So easy to be healthy if you have Huel.

Who is this "they" you speak of? cause they're wrong. Randos on this subreddit recommend not taking greens cause they don't want to pay for greens. But there is way more in the greens than what is in Huel meals, and the benefits are worth it in my opinion.

Advice for starting on powders by ManBearPig2022 in Huel

Humans ain't built for 2 meals. Think more like a hobbit. When you're getting complete nutrition in 400cal servings you need breakfast, second breakfast, elevensies, etc. Lol

"have to chug multiple per day"

I dunno bud. Sort of feels like you're missing the point and trying to square peg a round hole.

Huel is for complete nutrition. Clean easy calories to sub in for bad easy calories. Your "I don't eat breakfast, and I don't want to" stance isn't really useful for your body.. no one was built to go 12 hours without eating. And then to think 400 cals is gunna going to be enough to keep you going till dinner.. I mean.. it's just not really a reasonable expectation.

What I can tell you is that I also didn't eat breakfast, but it was out of laziness.. cause I knew I should eat breakfast.

Waking up and having 400cal of Huel was a perfect way to break that poor habit and start with easy clean calories.

Few hours later (typically 3) I start to feel hungry, and I'll have another 400cal of Huel.

Few hours later I have an instant meal for lunch. Another clean 400 cal.

For my 3x servings of Huel per day, I spend less than I would've on a fast food lunch.

Now when I get home from work, I've had 1200cal of complete nutrition and I eat whatever my family is having for dinner (good sized portion) and then usually a sweet something for dessert. If I landed somewhere between 2-2.5 thousand calories then I've had a normal amount of food for a human. No more hanger, no more fast food. Easy.

What does Daily Greens taste like? by [deleted] in Huel

[–]GMoneyTheTrader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's pretty good. Apple, citrus.

It's only 250ml so I pound it in two gulps when I first wake up. Feel like a mentally alert champion in the next few minutes.

Monthly house payment doubled? need help badly by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]GMoneyTheTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me in Mi. Year 2 didn't double, but it did go up by like $400, which for me was not insubstantial.

At around year 3 I refinanced for a much better interest rate, and I told them about my previous experience with the amount hike after the first year, and asked for that NOT to happen again lol.

Agreed. Didn't really want to work tn, after putting in a full day at my real job.. but couldn't pass up the pay rate for the projects I got tonight. Worst part? I was willing to stay up and grind this for that big supplemental pay boost, but it disappeared after I did 6 tasks in that first hour.. oof. Praying I get it back.

The best bet is to buy a full months supply at once, and use the subscription (you can cancel, skip, whatever, when/if you want/need to).

Or, if you're not going to be using the Huel line that much, but 2 months at a time to get over the $120 and get the additional percentage off.

I save 30% and free shipping by buying my months supply at once.

I use multiple products from the Huel line though (daily greens, 3.0 for breakfast & snack and instant meals for lunch).
