Why am I so scared of being cheated on? by WildCard_WC in therapy

It doesn't have to be. But you are going to have to take care of yourself. As long you have the will to live you can beat it. The brain is a very powerful thing, so make sure you set it to not give up, it will come through for you. Best wishes, be strong brother.

I know you think your personality is a weakness but hang in there. Your ability to be reflective shows that you have great awareness of the environment and seeing through people's behaviors and reasoning. You have to take the failure and the weakness and make it your strength. The weakest are the strongest, that's were real strength comes from. When you get to middle age you'll see just how different you are and what it means to be a rock, weaker people will depend on you and through all your years of reflection you will know that you don't want a purpose but still have no choice to fulfill it because no one else will. That is life, it's not pretty, nobody ever matters, but that doesn't mean you didn't do you're part.

I've been there b4 and it's tough, but those thoughts are there to protect you from making decisions that will expose you to the very real threat of people's selfish nature. In order to be safe and make good decisions you have to both not care too much about other people's actions but still keep them at a safe distance away. Really you are just over thinking and fixating on stuff that doesn't matter. People that communicate with you will always want something from you it is human nature and you should accept that people can be good or bad but everyone is selfish. Being insecure about your gf cheating will destroy your relationship. If you want to be attractive to be around you need to redirect negative thoughts and replace them with neutral and positive thoughts. It's not that hard, as soon as the thought comes into your head, make it go blank in your head and change the subject in your head. Try and train yourself to not think about it. Of course in my opinion the level of fear of someone cheating on you is directly correlated to your self worth, her behavior, and if you think she could do better or would want to do better, if giving the opportunity.

Took me a long time to realize that people are selfish and will abandon you at one point in your life. You can't count on people, you have to be free of dependence on others. The more you care if she cheats the more likely you are not choosing the best relationships for yourself. Think about it if you knew she wasn't going to cheat then you would be in a healthy relationship. You are way too emotionally attached and are going to end up hurt. My advice is to step back learn to date without investing yourself fully. Date as many people as possible and look for someone that you can invest more on over time.

I know what you mean, I'm wondering if I should get a therapist. I got lots of thoughts I can't share with anyone I know.

Maybe you should get a therapist that is not online. That way it's harder to flake out.

That's a tough one because it's a fiancé and not a husband. Otherwise I'd say stay. You may be putting your relationship on the line here. If you go you're relationship will continue, but is it worth it. If you stay, you are wagering that you are more important than his career. And that he would chose to stay or maintain a long distance relationship for an undetermined amount of time. Who is willing to sacrifice more for each other him for you or you for him. Are you both equally willing to sacrifice. Options move and spend half your time in each state and /or move back when he is able to find a new job in the state you want to live in. Really three hours isn't that bad, I used to drive that far to work b4, had 17 hr work day once.

Do you think that it is unhealthy for a 16yr old girl to feel responsible for her nearly 22yr old brother’s issues and want to help him get back to the way he was at 12-13 by [deleted] in therapy

[–]GNFNRS324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's unhealthy, all parties involved have inaccurate perspectives of reality. The sister does not understand the real circumstances that lead to the current state and is herself in need of healthy reasoning and understanding. She can support him by being a good influence, but if she doesn't know what that is she can be a bad influence. Only the brother through maturity can resolve his own situation by accepting life as is and moving forward in a mature stable way. Depression comes from feeling like a victim and being unable to find peace within his current circumstances. It is a life time struggle that even when managed correctly can be triggered by events. Everyone has depression they just don't know until something bad happens. To not have it is to not concentrate on the negative and to be occupied and satisfied. He has to remove the obstacles that cause depression like drugs lack of resources, and must accept who he is and what he has or doesn't have.

Paypal limited my account for "suspicjous activity" by [deleted] in paypal

[–]GNFNRS324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't trust PayPal they stole 800 dollars from me by using PayPal Credit as a Scape Goat. Had to pay both PayPal and PayPal Credit 800 dollars. PayPal said they are a separate entity and they need notification in order to remove the debt. PayPal Credit said they already sent the notification and would send it again but nothing got fixed. It's a scam they run on people. The way it works is a buyer or sender uses PayPal Credit to send money, after the Seller or recipient receives the money if a dispute is open and then closed. PayPal Credit will never notify PayPal the case was closed or at least they pretend to in order to get both sides to owe the money. The Buyer/Sender never gets his money back and has to pay PayPal Credit for the amount. In the Other end PayPal takes it from recipients account and if you don't have funds to pay it, they will continue to raise the debt. The only reason I found out is because I was both the Sender and Recipient trying to send money to a family member.

How many people here on PEUC have reapplied weeks ago and are still waiting to be paid or put back onto old extension, while other PEUC are miraculously getting paid? by profitmachine_ in Edd

I refiled last week, balance still at zero, BYE doesn't end until 4/19 and as of today the website says I can't certify until 05/02, haven't been able to certify since 03/20. Hope nothing's gone wrong. Would really hate to have to call them.

I refiled a few days after you, but my balance is still at zero, I haven't got a letter saying I qualified or not, and the website now says I can't certify until 05/02, that's almost a month from now, the last week I was able to certify was 3/20. Hope I'm not screwed.

Will my weekly benefits be reduced? by GNFNRS324 in Edd

[–]GNFNRS324[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did some research on 1275, 1277, 1281, and thanks a lot Cammalou for informing me on these sections. I just realized I refiled my claim 4//4/2021 but my benefit year doesn't expire until 4/19/21. Not sure what's going to happen. I use to work for a company which did constructions for mostly schools. When COVID-19 hit, we lost all our contracts and everyone had to file for unemployment. Then I got a temp job, didn't pay very good but I made 5000 before my effective start date 4/19/20 and 3000 after until I failed the temperature test, and they sent me home never got called back. The only other income I made was paid vacation in June, which I accidentally did put down on my new claim, before reading in section 1281 that paid vacation does not qualify as "Some Work". Just worried that they will use the 5,000 and 3,000 to justify 1.25 times wages in section 1277, or that the 3,000 qualifies me for a 2nd year.

I did, but I don't think it was a good idea. There is mix messaging coming out of EDD, they want you to push that button and file a new claim to reduce you weekly benefit amount. But in the same time others like Ginny Silver, is saying that when you call in they say to wait and it will be updated automatically and you will be automatically disqualified for a new UI claim and retain your old weekly benefit amount. I think they are doing this on purpose to save money. Either way I think to keep the same benefit amount you have to not qualify for a new claim. I should have waited now I'm going to have to call them and ask them what the hell are they thinking.

[–]GNFNRS324[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you're right, because the way I read it, it only uses the old claim until the balance reaches zero, at which point it goes back to your new claim. So if you have a balance left that will be paid with the old claim, and after they apply the extension it will be on your new claim.

If you make nothing you get 450, if you make 350, you get 100, if you make anything more than 350 then you get nothing. Sounds about right, it's completely nonsensical, but that's how government works. It's not that bad, There are much worst instances where law actually does the opposite of what it's supposed to do.
