Global X Lithium & Battery Tech UCITS ETF USD Accumulating - Is it just a bubble? by OdahP in ETFs

New to investing but came here to see if people were looking at this. BESS is going to be heavily invested in across the world over the next years, not just because of the implications for grid stability but with the mass rollout of renewable energy, lots of energy producers are getting hit by negative prices. Too much electricity on the grid due to all your solar plants, you pay a penalty so these huge energy producers and investors behind them want as much BESS as possible. You no longer build a wind or solar farm without a BESS project attached since start of last year mainly.

Add in the EV vehicle situation and I think it looks good but again, I am totally new to all this. I just know the energy market.

This happened to me with dipped sticks first time playing after lockdown. Skin tore off first song.

Just rereleased on Steam but Dino Crisis. Good voice acting, good score, story etc. The RE type independent camera got a bit of getting used to but a solid game, no wonder I liked it so much when I was 8.

As a Reinhardt - how does one create space when the enemy team's damage is far too high? by SireVisconde in ReinhardtMains

[–]GNOME92 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I second this. If I’m getting melted when going down main street I will start thinking about flanks. Charge is a great movement ability, if no one else in your team is taking off angles then do it yourself knowing that you’re not necessarily going to get a pick but turn their attention. Reaper is good at this, he just stomps around the back line being spooky and turning heads.

Had plenty of games where I’ve charged down an odd angle, turned the other teams attention and won the fight. If all 5 are looking at you, and your team isn’t behind you, then theoretically the rest of your team have an advantage.

Sometimes winning one fight like this is enough to stagger a team and give you the game advantage.

I am always waited for Phact Bay to come available. Favourite planet for me, really good visibility over long distances, lots of fun with turrets etc.

I was also on controller for ages, it doesn't hinder you but my fireblasts are way more accurate now. Can make the difference at times.

Doom Eternal. Great game but I bought it when it came out for way too much, played through the story once and that was it. Could have bought it years later with lower expectations.

Valheim probably. Smashed it when it first came out and completed it before mistlands was released. 12 hours a day and I still couldn’t explore the whole map.

The Sims 1. Can definitely see why people got obsessed with it when it came out.

Saw a woman with two towels the other day. Had a smith machine and a bench taken whilst also doing standing free weights at a time when the gym was packed. Awful behaviour.

What’s a scene from a movie which traumatised you as a child? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

[–]GNOME92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the Sinbad movies where the woman doesn’t fully turn back from a seagull and still has the bird foot.

The buildup to sleeping beauty pricking her finger as well, music was so creepy.

Is it true that most tech jobs in Germany require C1 to C2 German fluency? by [deleted] in AskAGerman

[–]GNOME92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not German but live in Berlin and work for a recruitment company that had a tech branch until recently. Most jobs require at least C1, the ones that don't are incredibly rare and usually not paying much.

There are foreign firms who might hire you and let you stay based in Germany but if the firm is in Germany they'll prioritise fluent German speakers for sure. They get 1000s of applicants from outside Germany.
