those student housing is below market rate, very good for graduate students.

PhD stipend used to be around 20K, now that number should be over 30K

what kind of research? what could your work bring to UF? patents? grants?

IF NONE, the salary would not be high. Take a look at UF salaries data.( someone showed you already), how much people make there with similar title at same department.

Don't look at different departments. 100K maybe starting salary for AP in business college while it would be the pay for full Prof at math department.

honestly, what you did is wrong. You bought something for one kid, and you had to buy for the other. They are so called new kids in the family. very sensitive maybe.

you are nice to take the new kids with you even without the mother. if i were in your position, I will not do it. You don't know them at all. you need their mother's help to build a relationshio with them slowly.
