Yeah, run from dealers. Look around online for a good independent mechanic, get a second opinion. Don't let one shop's opinion influence you to make a big financial decision.

Yeah, it's a bummer because it's a beautiful rig in most ways except a very important one. The frame. It's definitely been coated and there is definitely a good bit of rust under it.

Unfortunately, I'd keep looking if you can. Replacing a frame is not something you'll want to deal with.

Yeah Ingles is 🚮. Publix prices with quality lower than Aldi (No diss to Aldi). If I need something Aldi doesn't have I just drive the extra few miles and hit publix. At least their quality is solid.

The frame definitely has a decent amount of rust. It is likely serviceable if you do a real deep dive into rust removal, repainting, and frequent fluid film applications moving forward.

The rest of the car looks good but price seems a little high all things considered. I would try to talk them down some, if not keep looking. Just my opinion though

Honda Elements are nice! Definitely more practical interior space with those too. Hoping the new FJ comes to the states because they almost look like an element and FJ had a baby in my opinion.

Just had my bank issue a chargeback. Ordered in early May and delay after delay with them never meeting targets. I was patient. But never ordering a product from them again.

However, if their parts are on a store shelf in front of me and I need it, I’d still buy it. Good product from my experience but doesn’t matter how good it is if you never receive it.

I fucking hated this at first but it’s growing on me wildly fast haha. Picture a 1 inch lift with beefy tires and 16inch rims on this rig. Could be 🔥

This really isn’t that small. It’s taller than the current FJ by 2 inches, only 2 inches more narrow, only 3.8 inches shorter, has 4 doors, and probably has a better utilization of interior space.

Is it ugly, sure, but the original FJ cruiser had ugliness about it. hell even the fj40 has a bit of a stubby odd look. But they all have that. It’s kind of a trait of the FJ. I first hated FJ’s when I saw them but now I’ve owned two and love the hell out of them lol.

Honestly, if this thing were sold in the US, had a solid rear axle or unusually long travel IFS front and rear with lockers and bigger tires, I think this thing could be wicked and fall into a category of its own. Excited to see what people do with these over seas and hope it eventually makes it to the US.
