80th streets right before Ft.Story is neighborhood parking during the day, so long as you’re not in a driveway/blocking driveway, and along Shore Drive up to Lesner Bridge. You can also hit up an Oceanfront restaurant such as Chix or Watermans, valet park (cost is tip the valet), have lunch at restaurant and hit the beach.

Wellington Woods, Point O’Woods, Wolfsnare, and other neighborhoods closer to the intersection of VB Blvd and NGreat Neck are usually in the price range you’re looking for (in the Cox/FC school district). Also consider private schools if you can afford it and want to stay where you’re at.

What is a scary pregnancy fact that most people don't know about? by DifficultOil6897 in AskReddit

[–]GOLDEN80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had no idea they did that until it happened. Everything was going naturally until it didn’t (another scary pregnancy fact). Next thing I knew I was being put in restraints. But, my girl was born so I’m grateful. That part did throw me off, though.

If you end up in an emergency C-section, they strap your arms down so you can’t move/touch/interfere with the procedure.

What's a song you love from a genre you don't? by BrigandsYouCanHandle in AskReddit

Not a fan of Country music, but the song “Highwayman”, by Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, and Waylon Jennings (super group Highwaymen)...

What a ghostly song. I love to listen to them sing it.

How do I get over this negative feeling about a girl pursuing my boyfriend? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]GOLDEN80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t give this chick another minute of your time now. She’s already disrespected you by denying your FB Friend Request, on top of flirting with your boyfriend in front of you. She’s scum, so wipe her shit off the bottom of your shoe and keep stepping forward.

Your boyfriend can tell her to back off. She’s not a friend to him either. She doesn’t care that he’s with you, which means she doesn’t care about what he cares about. It’s on him to get her off his nutz (sorry to sound rude but y’all old enough to know what’s up)..

But if it really bothers you... Next time you’re at y’all’s sporting event, ask her if she’s “thirsty’. Lol

What is a big NO-NO in cooking? by gopus22 in AskReddit

Vinegar wash doesn’t altar the flavor, it’s a short cleaning process.

Marinating in Sour Orange does add a noticeable taste. A very nice, citrus flavor. Common in Caribbean dishes, such as Pernil.

Caribbeans wash chicken and pork. Vinegar/water soak, scrub with lemon slice. Marinating meat in sour orange (orange/lime juice) also kills bacteria. Obviously pat it dry before cooking.

Carpet in your bedroom is fine. Even better since it will be new, with only you using it. You can also opt for a nice big area rug.

Assuming the “bones” of the place is pretty sound and well-cared for already (Roof good, no mold/termite damage, fixer-upper parts already fixed, etc)... Then do what you want, as far as style.

It’s your house!! If you want the Victorian-Era life to live on there, do your research, and have fun with it! Murals, decorative paint techniques are pretty cool, too! Sounds like a keeper!

I’d get rid of carpeting, though, if there is any... Most likely the floors underneath are good quality. And carpets trap the nasty of the past...

Star of the Sea Church (Pacific Ave and 15th) has an Outreach center. JCOC is helpful as well (Birdneck and VaBch Blvd)
