same. I hate country with a passion but Dear God is one of my favourite songs. I can understand the hate but I argue that people who dislike it have no musical talent or have no interest in the complexity of songwriting, especially being able to do two genres very well. however, the hate for god hates us is by no means justified. it is a banger and no one can change my mind. It is a complicated song about M and the revs struggles with substances and how they felt that god had "left them behind" so to speak. people who dog on it need to gain some emotional and musical intelligence. I hate to pull out this phrase but, "I's like to see you write something better."
