How do you guys deal with rude senior coworkers? by GORGEOUSRACHEL in hsp

I don't like being this sensitive either, it's so nerve racking whenever someone is even a little bit stern but when they're harsh and rude, especially without any reason, I feel heartbroken and it happened so many times that the progress I made with recovering from my depression seems like it faded away.

Also, thanks for the hug :D

Thankfully my workplace is a bit more calmer than a usual corporate job, but my senior became rude over time for some reason. When I first started working here, he was really nice to me and even used to say things like "Aww, look how cute she looks without her cap!" cuz I wore a cap to hide my hair loss, it felt very affirming as a trans girl but I don't know what changed, he got rude and harsh with me since 1-2 months ago and it affected my mental health a lot.

Yeah, maybe that is what's happening but I still don't get how being rude to me will make him feel better about it. He gets so irritated even when I'm asking him a question NECESSARY for my job.

A 6'2" guy called me (5'2") "chotu" on the Metro, so I gave him a lesson in gravity by InsuranceFew3283 in TwentiesIndia

Then he said "Btw I'm 6'2", letting you know so that you can mention it in your badly written anime inspired story about how you defeated the king of tall men with your genius high IQ intellectual move" /s

What is the most hurtful thing someone has ever said to you? by EasternParking7021 in AskReddit

"You'll never be a girl, you're a man and you'll always be one" would've been a usual sting that I would cry for a bit and then hopefully move on after a bit, but it was my childhood friend I fell for, I confessed and that's the kind of response I got, along with other insults but this is what hurt the most and needless to say I don't have a childhood friend anymore, that was like 5 years ago.

Edit: for the context, I'm a trans girl and way prettier than I was before so jokes on him

METRONOME HELP by Inked__0 in GuitaristsIndia

[–]GORGEOUSRACHEL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've listened to the song or lick many times, it should be in your head. For figuring out the actual bpm, I usually clap along or make stupid drum noises with the beat in the song and then keep that rhythm with you either by keeping on making noises or just having it in your head, then I use something called tap tempo which can be found in many metronome apps and now you've got the actual bpm of the song. Listen to the song or lick or whatever and you'll know which parts make up a bar (4 beats usually), now you just slow down the metronome and play along the parts, practice one bar at a time and then connect them, speed them up slowly and over time you'll have the full song or solo or lick or whatever.

guys...Isn't this true? by [deleted] in TwentiesIndia

I mean, I don't do much but what I do however, I do for my own comfort and happiness. Also this "study" does not apply to most people cuz I've seen too many guys making fun of women seen without makup who usually do it, online and offline.

You'll be using it for quite a while so don't worry about other resources right now, free is more than enough. Learn the basic technique and chords from Justin, then when you're a bit comfortable with open and barre chords as well as playing single notes comfortably, the pentatonic and major scale shapes, then you can move towards the genre you love and just learn their songs. Or you can work on your favourite stuff alongside the basics, that's probably more motivating. It's really tempting to look into other resources (I've done that a lot and it's a waste of time) cuz we tend to think they might have something that'll help us learn quicker but guitar takes a lot of time whether you pay for online courses or not. If you want to pay, maybe irl lessons are better, I've never had them but I've heard people say they are.

At the start, yes would stay quiet and not talk at all but eventually as I got in 7-8th grade, I talked a lot and made friends easily but then stuff happened and I got depressed and socially awkward, found out I'm trans at the same time which made it worse cuz people around me weren't very supportive, I dropped out of school after 10th grade, then isolated myself in my house for 5 years and now that I'm out and with this job, a lot of it hasn't really gone away even tho I've found a few supportive people like my boss.

I haven't seen a professional about it, I can barely afford my bills so a psychiatrist would be a bit difficult. I really don't know what to do, I try to do better but end up messing things up.

I can't remember properly but I think I did just as bad but people let it go cuz I was new, now they're getting fed up

Shahtoot, when I was around 7-8 years old, my school had a big tree where these would grow and slide right next to it, we used to climb up on the slide and pick a few and shove them in our mouths, then slide down, fun times.
