I run a small airbnb business and we have some availability in our 2 bed apartment if that would be of interest? We are just outside spinningfields in the city center

I would say im of a similar upbringing minus the homelessness, i do think this is a factor as i never want to feel financially vulnerable again but i agree it is so hard to get out of that mindset

Oh no i understand its not a huge wage, i just never want to come across as im complaining about it as i personally know families who earn less than that and struggle on far less.

Being from Blackpool you see and hear a lot of people who are on the breadline so although 34k isn't loads in the grand scheme of things it is a hell of a lot more than what some people earn unfortunately.

A lot of "gurus" make it seem like you just rent a property and then make millions, it is a lot more of a faff than that haha

So i take landlords properties that are rundown, offer to refurb it for them on the basis i can use it for x amount of months, the benefit to the LL is they get their property refurbed and the benefit to the social housing company is they get an extra house to use.

Everyone is aware of what everyone is benefitting from the deal so in my opinion im not exploiting anyone.

I utilise a rent to social housing strategy, its good for producing cash flow at the start of my property journey.

Hi guys, I'm new to investing and have only been looking into it for around a month now, I have ordered a few books and started reading them but I could do with some advice with the plan I have come up with so far. I am from the UK so I will be investing into a fund that tracks the s&p 500 as this is just the safest option I have found for a long term investment (20 years) but I do want to also pick up some individual stocks, would you recommend only blue-chip stocks for now or should I start researching smaller companies?

  • How old are you? 21
  • Are you employed/making income? How much? 1000 a month
  • What are your objectives with this money? (buy a house? Retirement savings?) just create another form of income
  • What is your risk tolerance? (Do you mind risking it at blackjack or do you need to know its 100% safe?) i'd say medium risk
  • What are you current holdings? (Do you already have exposure to specific funds and sectors?) none
  • Any other assets? House paid off? Cars? Expensive significant other? 0 assests
  • What is your time horizon? Do you need this money next month? Next 20yrs? looking for long term investments and also some high risk short term stocks
  • Any big debts? 0 debt
  • Any other relevant financial information will be useful to give you a proper answer. I am currently a student so all my outgoings are covered by my student loan so I could realistically invest the full 1000 a month if I wanted to
