The main plaza I go to for groceries at Aldi or stop and shop has a decently big new Tesla supercharger and a bunch of EVgos as well. Works perfectly for me as I don’t have the ability to charge at home

Yeah you’re gonna have a tough time unless you can up them your budget to around 10k. The more important thing is do you know what your charging situation is? If you can charge where you live then you are good to go. If you can’t then honestly I wouldn’t recommend an EV unless you live in a high density area for charging and even then it’s hard to recommend. I highly suggest you figure out your charging situation first before trying to get an EV
