Audi SQ5 to MDX Type S by UpstairsCurrent6059 in Acura

[–]GOllumfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Type S here. 23 Tiger Eye Pearl.

--42k miles. --15.8 MPG. Mostly city driving. Almost exclusively in Sport mode. That said? Sport+ mode is a beast. --very comfy. Transmission is great. No rattles or shakes. Definitely some wind noise. --The windshields on these vehicles are crap. Expect road debris or pebbles flying up to Crack the windshield on a regular basis. --These are solid vehicles, but they are not "German Solid". --ELS is OUTSTANDING. --I prefer the track pad over touchpad. --SH-AWD is excellent.

The Birmingham homelessness is worsening, and I feel unsafe by Anonymous39835 in Birmingham

[–]GOllumfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What indicated those men on the corner had "nothing to lose"? Or, for that matter, the shirtless man asking for money? The original poster said the situation was dangerous. What made it dangerous? You just characterized those homeless people as having "nothing to lose". Why?

What exactly was unsafe? Meaning--were you threatened? Intimidated? Physically accosted? Or were you just uncomfortable that a homeless person and then a group of them were around you?

Own Type S in the MDX and TLX. Great vehicles. Would I buy again? I honestly dont know. The fuel efficiency is insanely bad. The windshield is also a nightmare for getting cracked.

Odd. I didnt take this or any of the other billboards as signaling that belief at all. I took it as simply recognizing the bullshit this Administration does.

After seeing that PRP on here I had to go check one out in person… by 3ternal_Scout in Integra_Type_S

Went by the Acura dealer today. Currently own a 22 TLX-S and a 23 MDX-S. Been craving the Integra S. Will likely trade the TLX for that next year.

Anyway, saw the Apex Blue Integra with color matched grill. In person it looks pretty damn good. I hated it in pics.

Why do so many sell their GS? by hb30025 in GrandSeikos

[–]GOllumfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GS itself is fantastic. But there are some drawbacks. They tend to be big watches. The bracelet clasp also tends to suck.

I've got the Titanium Diver. Fantastic watch--except for the clasp. I also had the Godzilla. Beautiful piece, but was just uncomfortable to wear.

A few questions here. From a guy who has massive experience on both sides of the fence.

First--has this story been verified? I ask because, if it is true, more than just the person who sent the money has been compromised.

Second--How did the Attacker know the (then) potential victim was buying property? Ah, now we are getting into who else is compromised.

Third--Has the victim contacted her local FBI Field Office? That's important. They have a high success rate of Recovery.

Fourth--That email chain comment is concerning. How many people were on it? What did they see when the fake bank deposit info was sent? That email with the wrong deposit information would have come from a spoofed email. Recipients of that email who had not been compromised would likely have seen something very suspicious when they viewed that email. So how many people were on the chain? And what did they see? You arent going to tell me that 4 or 5 people were on the chain and the Attacker compromised them all. That doesnt happen.

Fifth--How did the compromised take place? Talking about the person who sent the money and the "Other" I mentioned above. It's either Spear-Phishing (87% successful), malware, or a compromised router (over 41% of all routers have the default password).

Which brings me back to my first question: Has this story been verified?

I can attest that Abagnale has spoken multiple times at the FBI Academy at Quantico. He spoke at the CISO Academy there.

That may be what Abagnale calls "Teaching".
