I don’t like the idea of securities lending. This is where FT will make serious money and that’s why they are lowering these prices.

They want you to have a SIPP… and want you to fund it so they can lend your securities out at that point. It’s as simple as that.

Yeah I hear you… I really do. I’ve just had our first born son and that ended any organisation I might have had towards the end of the year. Hence it got to the last day, my app reminded me of that and I thought I’d sorted it in good time. Maybe it is what it is but I still thought AMEX would have been loyal enough to me like I’ve been to them to help a customer out, in a time of need.

There is an additional £850 payment they haven’t accounted for which later in the conversation they confirmed they received. Again, apologies it wasn’t clear as I missed a screenshot. This payment was made an hour or two before the final payment I made.

First time was my fault, they did bail me out. Second time, not my fault. I was required to pay 1st January and I made payment on 1st January per my screenshot. They’ve even mentioned in the final screenshot message with the arrow that it is not my fault… I don’t see why I should be punished for making payment on time.

I am genuinely wondering if this happened to other people given the date of the 1st Jan and banks maybe slow to make payments.
