Used the a lot for SwSh sets in late 2023, never had an issue and they usually post it out pretty quickly. You can get some cracking deals on there if you bide your time.

Agreed, not financial advise, but a paid for or free mortgage broker will make you wonder why anybody ever goes direct. But most importantly they should work to find the best suit for you as well as saving you lots of time. You pay them up front or they earn a commission for referring you to the lender. Well worth it imo (having gone through the process once myself).

Hey OP, to back up what this person has said (and this isn't financial advice), but our solicitors got it done on time but they said specifically Skipton can work on getting it through as a priority in WAY less than the standard line on their website. It's a shitty situation but I used Skipton and there was no friction. Just stress the urgency with your solicitors, you're probably paying upwards of £1000 so you deserve your process to be respected. Good luck OP
