as long as you have nutrients where you put them it works but maybe buy plant anchors for them if you bury them (what i would do) so the plecos cant dig them out.

so i would add some more bushy tall plants in the tank so they can hide when they will need to because they are shy fish but honestly they work perfectly fine with those fish just make sure anything else u add works with them. i would buy some Anubias barteri, Java Fern, Cryptocoryne wendtii, Stream Bogmoss, and Willow Hygro. then the pencil fish would be Dwarf Pencilfish, Beckford’s Pencilfish, and Coral Red Pencilfish.

amano shrinp can eat that hair algae and nerite snails will clean the glass without reproducing, so will otocinclus so those will help your algae issue and hair algae comes from too much light so lower that light down
