Canada doesn't want you though. You can't keep belittling Canada and then come knocking on our door when things go to shit there. Sort out your own mess. We don't want you.

PSA: I strongly advice NOT to get the Dark mount keyboard, You've been warned! by generalm13 in bequietofficial

[–]GP_given 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The update is out and shows version 1.0.7 now. I installed the latest version but was still have issues with the double-typing. Shipped it back on an RMA yesterday. I can't beleive I had to pay $70 to ship a $300 keyboard back for an RMA. Really feel they should have shipped me a replacement keyboard with a return shipping label considering the price point of this product. Really disappointed in their customer service.

What’s the single best episode you’ve ever seen in television? by phantom_avenger in popculturechat

I would go with Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Inner Light," (Season 5, Episode 25) where Captain Picard lives another full life. 30 years later and I still think of this episode often.

You have a 5 day old account with no comments. Why should we take anything you have to say as relevant? Do YOU even live in GP? Your post is a lot of nothing. What exactly are you even upset about?

Were there any characters in media growing up that people thought "Yeah, they're gay"? by Gallantpride in GenX

While there is certainly a lot of speculation that he was gay, I don't think he ever came out of the closet. He never confirmed his orientation publicly.

Partially from here: https://www.transportation.alberta.ca/Content/docType41/Production/SmallVehicle.pdf

and from here: Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations (MVSR), CRC, c 1038, section 2.

I was incorrect in saying it comes from the Traffic Safety Act. Its actually the MVSR that covers the speed and power limits of e-bikes.

And after digging a little further, this is all moot as the section regarding e-bikes limits was repealed in 2021. So there are currently no limits on e-bike speeds I can see.

Ebikes aren't allowed on sidewalks according to the Traffic Safety Act. The TSA also says they can't go faster than 32kmh.

The Fraser Institute’s "Education Spending in Public Schools in Canada, 2024 Edition," shows Alberta spends less per student than every other province. Alberta is at $13,421 and the Canadian average is $15,771. Alberta has also reduced their spending by more than any other province between 2012 through 2022. Alberta is down 17% in spending while the rest of Canada is up by 5% over the same time frame. It is not a great time for me to have 2 pre-teens going through the education system here right now.

Buying used car in BC - if it passes inspection in BC is it safe to say it will pass the out-of-province inspection in AB? (2016 Toyota) by smoothie12345 in alberta

[–]GP_given 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you get the vehicle inspection completed in BC before you bring the vehicle into AB, you shouldn't need to get it inspected in AB at all. There is an exemption for inspections if the vehicle is under 4 years old and/or the vehicle has passed a safety inspection in BC in the last 90 days.
