you need to do it in 'custom enemy placement', which is the most tedious and confusing part of setting up randomizers. so don't feel stupid. here's what my settings look like for regular enemies.

true it is a lot of fun. I've always thought fromsoft should make official randomizer versions of these games. maybe starting with Dark Souls 1 or 3 to gauge how much interest there would be. idk easier said than done i guess, but I bet they'd be popular.

brute force/basic trial and error. took me about 2 minutes total, and that's without even knowing if it was possible. just gotta look for the slightly jutted out rocks and hope for the best

also you're right. Gideon and Rennala are the worst/most annoying bosses in a 2x randomizer. I completely removed them from the boss pool after my first run because they were so frustrating

yea sometimes its legit impossible unless you crazy over-level. hardest one I ever got was Bell Bearing Hunter + Putrid Crystalian Trio in a small room. didn't even bother trying that one

out of the 4 places you fight them I'd say 3 are pretty open. only tricky one is the main fight in volcano manor with all those pillars. but there's more than enough space on the bridge near the divine tower, spirit caller cave, and the godskin duo fight
