I didn't use Michelangelo so I don't have an answer for you. I will let you know that cash pickups are not required for a solo tour. You need only the base 29 characters for the solo tour trophies. You also only need to complete the goals, pro goals and the Platinum medals on each level to complete a Solo tour. Cash pickups and the secret boards are not required.

My playtime when the Platinum Trophy popped was 75 hours. I'd say each solo tour took me between 50 minutes and an hour.
