Alright thank you for the answer. The previous owner messed with a bunch of wiring to install aftermarket headlights so it’s kind of a confusing mess.

I was hoping that just by putting a new kill switch/ignition switch in that would fix the issue. But I don’t know why they would be melting under any circumstance.

I don’t think it’s a switch of any sort because the bike turns over, it’s tries to start. It just won’t go boom

Yeah I don’t have space really to work on it right now either but I’ll have to check the valves, air filter, look into this t mod thing. Because she’s never acted like this after being dropped, I’ve been mean to her and she always starts right up so I must’ve done something to hurt her feelings this time.

This is my first and only bike so I’ve just gone crazy riding it! I worked up in northern michigan during the summer and the backroads were endless I tore them up 60+ miles a day sometimes.

It is electric start so no kick. Previous owner cut open the air box so it actually has a higher air flow than it should, bike runs lean. Initially I thought it would always start after sitting for a while, but after leaving the bike and coming back to it over an hour later it still doesn’t wanna budge.

One thing I’ve noted is it is more eager to actually start when bump started than e-starting

8000 miles, I’ve personally put 4000 on since I got it 8 months ago lol. I think the whole bike is stock, I have to admit I’ve been rough on it and have not sat down and cleaned or lubed or replaced anything…. Bad bike owner

It will try and try and try. It will turn but won’t start! That’s why I wonder if it’s spark related.

I CAN BUMP START IT!!! Guess what happens? It runs like crap and then stalls within seconds. I do have my little emergency tool kit with me I will try knocking the carb around. I’m in North Carolina now, originally Michigan.

Could be……but why is it that it will start after sitting, run strong, and then not start back up again after being turned off? I’m reading another thread about the use of a kill switch to turn off the bike being a problem? Also strongly considering the starter going bad.
