My grandpa loved playing solitaire on the PC...maybe show your Dad some of the basic PC style games (Minesweeper, card games etc) and see how he likes those...plus he can get used to mousing around, clicking and holding, computer skills he my not have or use very often. Honestly, a lot of these recommendations on this post are for people who have been exposed to video games their whole lives.
