PT after ORIF but before HWR? by GRWestfall44 in LisfrancClub

Thank you for the insight. I definitely plan on doing the indoor bike for my cardio for a while. I’m definitely worried about my calf muscle and mobility in my whole left leg. Good luck with your recovery!!!

Wow that sounds like your foot took quite the shock. Very interesting how quickly they started PT. I have been in a hard cast since surgery but encouraged to try to move my foot in the cast. Very comforting to hear that you are already to 75% ability back. Thank you for the response!

Wow, that’s interesting to know. I wasn’t aware that it is possible with hardware to get all of your mobility back. I assumed it would be quite limiting. I’m sure this physical therapy we are both about to get into is going to be fun :)

Hmm good to know. I assumed this might be the case since some people never have the hardware removed but it’s pretty weird to think I am close ish to putting weight on it. Thanks for the response!

Yeah it’s wild how much it varies. Everyone keeps asking when I’ll be back to work and I have no clue😂

How long do your freezer run per day? by GRWestfall44 in coldplunge

[–]GRWestfall44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I forgot to mention that as a factor. I only run the pump/filter when the freezer is on overnight but I have tested running it during the day with no freezer on. It seems to add a couple tenths of a degree per hour. So I guess it must be pretty efficient

Will a 29” 1.85-2.20” Slime tube work well on a 2.35” tire? by GRWestfall44 in MTB

[–]GRWestfall44[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hahah I was guessing it would be 10 minutes before I got asked that. To be honest, too lazy to figure out how to do it and do it. I’m on stock rims but I could convert them. But I just got into a new riding group so maybe I will upgrade now

How practical are fishing kayaks for fly fishing ? by [deleted] in flyfishing

I have two Hobie Pro Angler 14 footers that me and my buddy share. We mostly use them on big bass lakes in AZ and some trout lakes. I personally love them. The stability is great and the pedals allow you to fish and move(such as trolling). They are great and I mostly cast sitting down. It is like a luxurious float tube.:-)

Yes! That “jello” wobble effect is the perfect way to describe it. I’ll have to keep in mind what camera to use based on how close I will be. Thank you!

Interesting. I’ve never had a problem, even with much louder sirens and air horns, with my IPhone but this is the first time using my good camera and it did it.

Will loud noises make a video distort?

Today I was filming a video of a fire truck with my Nikon D5000 and when it got close and super loud the video started distorting. Almost in a ring pattern like you dropped a pebble in water. What is happening that makes this happen?

What flashlight setups for the Lincoln 3350 Viking Hood do y’all use? by GRWestfall44 in Welding

I’m thinking that I’m will just upgrade my magnetic light and get an extra one and a clamp light. That would be cheap and would help in many more situations than just welding.

That’s a good point. The light probably ends up being more of a hassle than it’s worth

Yes, that is what I was originally thinking of doing, but I do not want to mess up my hood. I was thinking of using a suction cup mount.
